ABS8LUTE is a French DJ and music activist known for her hypnotic and percussive techno style. She draws from her Caribbean heritage the ability to create a unique multi-layered primitive atmosphere with an irresistible groove that won’t give the dancers any rest.
Her influence extends beyond the clubs as she is a strong advocate for the representation of women and minorities in electronic music. She founded the Vénus Club, a feminist collective promoting FLINTA DJs and gives DJ workshops to empower marginalized communities. She is also one of the Artistic Director of forward-thinking Parisian collective Kluster.
Her distinctive rhythmic approach has secured her a place on impressive line-ups as well as regular appearances at notorious Berghain.

Mayan Cxllective - Shot Notice (Christopher Gonzalez Remix)

I tend to overstuff my tracks, no difference with this one. Always been doing this. If things fit over one another musically, I put them on top of one another. But this is very often a mistake. Here, I am very unsure if it is wise to put the robot chorus on top of the house chords. Right now, I am considering dropping the vocoder vocals altogether and replacing them with some female vocals; some soft voice that creates a contra to the techno sound.

Philippa Pachos musical journey started many years ago when she began to dig and collect music which ultimately brought her to DJing. After spending some time playing in Stockholm illegal parties she became one of the residents of the infamous club Under Bron. She’s is a true minimalist in her approach one could say, finding the beauty in every single fragment that a track breaks apart into, something Philippa takes to heart when digging for new tracks. Philippa’s set are versatile and high on energy. Pacho prefers to keep the audience attentive with small changes that continues throughout the night and loves small steaming floors to tell her story on. Her uncompromising approach has made her a popular selector, playing at  parties such as Mess, about:/blank, Tresor, Mala Junta & Ved Siden Af.
