Two friends Ryan & Rory after meeting at Bournemouth university joined forces to create the duo 'RSquared'. Taking inspiration from the likes of Music On & Paradise as well as their love of disco/funk/techno they nurtured their sound to recreate a niche catchy & energetic vibe. Since releasing their first EP at the beginning of 2020, they have sprung into gear with releases on the likes of Sola, 303 Lovers, La Pera Records, Libero records & many more. RSquared's sharp percussion & rolling drums have led to support from the likes of Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Latmun, Paco Osuna & many more. 2022 is set to be a promising year for the young duo. With launching their brand new label and having a tonne of tracks yet to be released, these two are one's to watch.

The knowledge of the liquid fire was kept so tightly secret that - ultimately - it got lost. This was until Greek DJ and producer George Adi (SCI+TEC) reignited the flame by signing the ninth release on La Zic, bolstered by two remixes from BizZa and FIRZA with his Liquid Fire EP. The originals wink to the minimal techno realm with tight, marching grooves, flowing sub-bass, sick arpeggios, and early 2010s minimal percs. On the remix duties, the duo of the moment and Ushuaia Ibiza DJ-contest winners FIRZA (elrow Limited) takes the track to the next level with uplifting synths, hi-octane grooves, and unwavering mainstage attitude, while Barcelona's very own BizZa (Hottrax, Tamango Records, Take Notes) keeps things nice and rolling with a bubbling and more intimate version. The flame is never subdued, and so is La Zic's sound.

George Adi - Bass Season (Radio Edit)

The debut release from Drag & Drop’s new label, "My House Is Your House," is a statement of artistic intent. The EP, titled "Let Me See Ya," is a bold move by the Frankfurt-based duo to carve out a space where they can explore their true creative impulses, free from the pressures of market trends.

The original track "Let Me See Ya" is a masterclass in blending nostalgic 90s elements with the crispness of modern minimal deep tech. Drag & Drop’s signature sound is instantly recognizable, as they skillfully merge retro grooves with contemporary rhythms, creating a track that is both fresh and familiar.

On the B-side, Samuele Scelfo’s remix takes the EP to another level. By bringing the M1 synth to the forefront, Scelfo crafts a version that is more hypnotic, drawing listeners into a deep, entrancing soundscape. His remix retains the essence of the original while adding a layer of intensity that is impossible to ignore.

"My House Is Your House" isn’t just a label; it’s a creative refuge where Drag & Drop can push boundaries and deliver music that truly reflects their artistic vision. If this first release is any indication, we’re in for something special.
