Acid is't really being poured on my legs, it is just that I have a trapped nerve in my back, probably a slipped disc, that has been making my legs (Swedish construction) shit-painful for bumming months. But tonight I go and see the doctor who will give me the results of the MRI I had a couple of weeks ago. I *really hope* he can  suggest some method of fixing it that doesn't I have to swallow bollock loads of powerful painkillers the rest of me life.

Acid is being poured on my legs

This is raw, real, revolting pain. This is being strapped into a chair whilst red hot pieces of metal are held against your arms. Your arms pop and bubble as each piece of metal is pressed again. They smoke, the sharp, unpleasant aroma of burned meat fills your nostrils. your mind becomes consumed by the coruscating pain. No screams, that'll will only please them and certainly won't stop them. Even if you knew what would stop them, you are going to get flung into the trash filled street in a, probably quite fundamentally, less  composed manner than when you walked into the office earlier that morning.

The album, 'No laws broken', is coming along nicely; few more weeks before I can publish. Quite by chance it is one minute long for every ten million people living in the sprawl of London - aka the Great Wen. The partner has praised this track very enthusiastically, so therefore I would appreciate feed back that disinterested parties may wish to give ;)

This track is a musical interpretation of the psychotic episodes I used to have in psychiatric wards. It goes from uneasy calm, to hints something is wrong, then full blown, terrifying psychosis. It ends, as my episodes so often did, with a needle full of Valium being stabbed in my bum, that calmed things down very quickly.

Suddenly, the mood took me to try and write a piece of Hip Hop music, because  remembered it from my youth. And lo, after only a couple of hours later, Davy had produced this rather happy, up-beat piece of jolliness had come forth into existence.

I tried to make one of those 'vocals that are more part of the experience of the music than actually meaningful by themselves'-pieces, using female vocal samples I got from a magazine DVD. I think it worked out alright. Pretty good, in fact!

A short piece of ambient music I wrote whilst suicidally depressed. I used a Modal synth, Impulse keyboard, the Pianissimo plugin with loads of echo and my voice using a VT-1 vocoder. It was composed in Mixcraft Pro 8. Copyright David Strange 2019 all rights reserved.

Produced with Mixcraft 8 Pro, with a Modal Craft Synth 2, an IK Multimedia Uno Synth, a Alesis Nitro Mesh drum kit, Serum synthesizer plugin, Pianissimo plugin, a Novation Impulse 61 keyboard and probably other things that I cannot. I would like to thank Dani with his help with mixing.
