Since 1991, Tresor has provided a home for artists to develop their ideas for advanced new sounds and broadcast them to the world. The pioneers that first traversed the Detroit-Berlin connection and were at the forefront of a new cultural movement gave to Tresor its original and continuing mission: community, resistance and reshaping the world to come.

The Tresor 30 compilation represents a major landmark in this continuing history of electronic music. This unique collection of music profiles some of the artists that gave the previous three decades of Tresor its sound and foundation, but it also casts its gaze forward. Since a couple of years there has been a lot of data transfer between the thief and the rat.

We do like it when Dutch dance veterans go through their old DAT-tapes. It's like digging for gold, which is often found. On the Dreech EP on SoHaSo Records, DJ Remy takes us back to his RoXY days. That time when we all ate strobes for breakfast and recognized a Pump Up The Jam-sample whenever we saw one. Opener 'Lost DAT One' is a gem. Remy proves he still packs a punch today, with the freshly produced breakbeat infused 'Stampkramp'.

Remy shares this vintage feel-EP with Joannes, a techno producer from the north of The Netherlands who has a fetish for hardware and a keen ear for oldschool house sounds. Cowbells and handclaps are plentyful on his two takes, and so is humour. On the fast-paced 'Claps for Richie' he builds and builds to a blissful liquid break, only to cut it short. What a guy. And what a great EP.
