Little Fools is made up of singer / lyricist, Shoshana and guitarist / song writer, Aki. The two of them met while playing jazz together in New York City. After years of standards, and only a few months before Shoshana moved back to LA, they began working on their own project of original songs. Shoshana’s narrative voice, while influenced by her love of the Great American songbook, and reflected in her classic lyrical storytelling is also wholly original. When paired Aki’s sound, the smoky contralto of her voice echoes over the melodic playing of the guitar. The rest of the band -- shifting from brushes and a train-whistle backbeat to a complete rock sensibility -- adds an important contemporary energy to their nostalgic sound. When working together, the duo begins their writing process with the intimacy of a singer-song writer duo while ultimately surrounding their sound with the richness of a blues rock band.

Little Fools is a New York-based indie blues rock band. The band's lead singer, Shoshana, met guitarist, Aki, in 2013 while playing jazz in NY. Sadly (for us all) they began working on this project only 6-months before Shoshana moved back to her hometown of Los Angeles. With frequent visits to each coast, and a long distance musical relationship, the band Little Fools was formed. 

Undoubtedly influenced by their jazz backgrounds, their sound is rooted in American folk traditions. Evoking an almost, singer-songwriter-like quality, Shoshana's narrative lyrics, coupled with her raspy voice, tell a unique story -- one we can all relate to, but her lens is clearly her own. Aki's guitar voicings often echo the melody of Shoshana's lyrical lines - their interplay the backbone and true sound of the band.
