Played this track on repeat all last summer. Made in 1991– such a sucker for vocals like this. 

--out of all the legendary dj sets u have played... which is ur favorite and why?

How can I not say Sustain. It was by far one of the most surreal DJ experiences I’ve ever had. Just walking over the bridge at sundown surrounded by trees, fogs, lazers and all my besties from all over. Had a moment where I shed a single tear playing a Pat Metheny Group track that my mom used to rinse when I was a kid. Will think about the set forever. 


--best party in recent memory? (not cuz the tunes but because all your bests are there and the vibe/moral is high af)

Mmmm its all a bit of a blur but def hanging with a bunch of friends post Sustain at CNC to see Special Guest DJ. He played one of the best sets I’ve seen all year (mic in hand & all)  and I watched the entire thing start to finish which I feel like can be rare for me. Went to Nowadays right after and ate a bagel on the dancefloor while the sun came up with one eye open. Slept like a baby for an entire day. It was magical.

Ryosuke Tsuchiya, who also served as PA, mastered this mix. He used a unique approach, including IR reverb, to simulate the environment of the day with an immersive feel.
WOMB is a club with a very high ceiling and wooden floor. The subwoofer, with its large horn, gives the kick a rich ambience.
