Pulling no punches, Manchester's Little Strange proudly released their latest single, 'Hard Days Hard Times', via Play Loud Sound on November 23rd.

Following on from their impressive self-produced single, 'I Get By', the band have not allowed the dust to settle before deciding on their next move. Produced by songwriter/guitarist, Olly Davis, this latest offering from Little Strange is an instant earworm. Driven by the thunderous rhythm section of Charlie Harris & Jack Clynes, Davis' fuzz-tinged guitar lines marry perfectly with Jamie Thompson's overdriven vocal tones to provide a heady cocktail; fitting enough to soundtrack the listener's next main character moment.

Building on the excitement of their previous releases, this headstrong track is a true statement of intent from Little Strange. Combining a tasteful blend of tones with introspective lyricism, this is by far the band's most powerful release to date. As singer Jamie Thompson adds, "The cool answer would be to describe this one as, 'the little bastard brother of Arctic Monkeys' AM, raised by Hunter S. Thompson on a diet of B-movies', but truthfully, that isn't what this song is about. It's about being in your own head and doubting yourself."

Uninterested in fads and viral trends, the band's authenticity is what drives them forward. Adopting the mantra, 'alt-rock for all', the group's message is a simple statement of inclusivity which can be felt by the warmth generated by their crowds.

Emerging from the shadows - as if their Tarantino-esque logo is beamed into the night's sky - Little Strange's never-say-die attitude is a true testament of character. Returning in 2022 after a two-year hiatus, the band are quickly making up for lost time, complete with a new line-up and many new songs to boot. 

After headlining the Yuck Magazine-curated Another Fine Festival, the band joined indie heroes The Coral & Everything Everything on the main stage of Coast Roads Festival. Several headline shows across the UK, including a notable performance at The Lodge at the Deaf Institute, have earned the band a reputation for their emphatic live sound. 

Following the releases of 'Holy Rigmarole', 'I Get By' & 'Hard Days Hard Times', the excitement surrounding the band has been widespread. Receiving support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1, subsequent airplay has followed both nationally and internationally from the likes of The Face Radio, Amazing Radio & Amazing Radio USA, as well as playlisting support from Pretty Green, The Manc and Shoot Music.

With a release schedule decided until mid-2024, the band are currently mixing their forthcoming single, 'Alright Now', which is due for release February 1st. Armed with a timeless sound which resonates with audiences of all ages, it's started and it won't slow.
