"The Polarity EP" is the debut EP from Brighton, UK-based producer LittleSynthBox, following a series of single releases.

The title track, "Polarity", is a driving 144bpm techno track with a gritty, brooding Moog-style bassline, a somewhat experimental but melodic lead, and plenty of percussive elements.

"Magnetic", the second track on the EP, complements the title track while being contrastingly different to it - a downtempo, bass-heavy, rhythmic ambient track that builds to a series of pluck phrases laden with emotion.

"Pockets of Silence" blends downtempo jazz elements with unexpected, gritty electronic sounds, creating a genre-defying sound. This track features a strong, deep bassline and jazz-inspired drums and piano alongside a glitching, mid-century vocal with a distorted, growling bass synth.

"I produce electronica, ambient and experimental music mostly on hardware. Hardware, and the hardware process, is a big part of what I enjoy about producing music, and everything I write starts, and often finishes, on my synths, samplers and sequencers.

I try to write music that I would really enjoy listening to myself. It's also really important to me that I enjoy the process involved in doing that."
