Carve Scars

He carved his memory into scars,

He saw people raising their hands,
And felling down on the scars.

He sold all his scars.
He bought one and one performer’s dress.
Split himself into several persons,
To accompany and mount 
The stage around him. 

He saw himself going to the wrong, 
It was like watching a comedy
Where everyone in audience clapped till palms chaffed,
And laughed himslef to tears.

我翻过多少座山 趟过多少河 
有个老头在对岸等我 
他说他才有让人能哭能笑的良方 
他要我最心爱的东西和他做交换 

我只得对他笑笑 
跟他去别处 
去听其他人的故事 

Illness

I promised I would bring him the prescription which could make people laugh and cry.
I baked some orange peel and flax, I froze tears, I made sachet,
But I don’t know how to bring 'smile'.

I forgot how many summers, autumns, springs and winters I passed.
Kids who are playing said they never saw crying.
Farmers who are working asked me does smile exist?

I forgot how many mountains and rivers I passed,
Until I met an old man waiting for me.
He said: I’ve got the thing that could make people laugh and cry.
He ask me to trade that with my favorite thing.

What I can do is just smile at him,
And follow him to other places,
To listen other people’s stories.
