I've Tried To Warn You (ft. Madam Snowflake)

Part of a 4-track jamming session some time around 1984. (Flute, Mallet, Synth Bass.Guitar, 4/4 drums on Cutec MR402 4-track cassette recorder).
I think the synth used was the Casio CZ1000 with drums from the Soundmaster Stix ST-305 drum machine.
Re-mixed by embellishing with extra tracks of simple synthwave textures via Korg and Minimoog D - production in Logic.

The harshness of the crystalline sounds emanates from the Casio CZ1000 with the digital cut-off of notes evident as the maximum of 4-note polyphony was often exceeded. The age of the original source cassette tape is getting close to 40 years so, unsurprisingly, the tape has attempted to unravel and concertina away from the cassette body during playback. Nevertheless, sound fidelity is surprisingly acceptable.
Re-mixed by embellishing with extra tracks of simple synth wave textures via Korg and Minimoog D plus much retiming from wav cut-and-paste in Logic. Retaining of the original rawness was essential and the addition of vocals gives the piece some purpose.

Love You More (ft. Ivan Chew)

Kit: Originally composed in 1984 using an Electronic Dream Plant Wasp synth, a Casio VL-5 mini keyboard with drums from the Soundmaster Stix ST-305 and vocals from a Rev. Billy Graham sermon off the radio, date unknown (1980’s?) all recorded on a Cutec MR402 4-track compact cassette. 
This track was programmed as the opening track of a limited (2 copies) cassette only album, “Pretentious”,
In 2023, I took a mastered copy, imported as a 2 track stereo audio into Logic and embellished with EQ, limiting; adding some new melodies and percussion via apps: Minimoog D, AudioKit Synth One and microKorg while retaining the key essence of the original recording.
