SOMEBODY  GET DOWN WITH ME

Jakarta based Jonathan Kusuma delivers a new EP on Cocktail d’Amore Music. After his European debut on Cosmo Vitelli’s I’m A Cliché, followed by a successful EP on Berlin’s imprint Love On The Rocks, the Indonesian artist keeps carrying the vessel of the Far East sound.  
The title track Black Magic is a fat disco-tribal inspired groove that builds fast, eventually climaxing with a cloud of acid synths and mystical vocals. 
Japanese duo Mascaras, Chida and Cos/Mes’ 5ive, straighten up the groove giving a 4/4 beats restyling. The result is a Proto-Techno, Trance influenced soundscape, for foggy late-night dancefloors. 
Urban Sorcery is an Italo inspired maze of proto-acid synthesizers, sounding like an enchanted concrete-covered forest.                 
90’s house inspired Redvox is an experiment of cosmic influences. As the vocal becomes part of the groove, the long pads fuel this spaceship pushing it to the borders of time and space.

Hailing from Montreal, Canada, M.S.L is the project of Edouard Le & his pal Francis Latreille. After two acclaimed releases on @ModelFuture and dutch label @BAKK-Projects, the duo settles down on Les Yeux Orange with a deep and melodic Electro four tracker. 

The track selected by @DarkScienceElectro to premiere is the persistent track 'Enterprise'. It features classic 808-style beats with some synth-work that creates a fun, familiar feeling vibe throughout the track. This release is available now.

PREMIERE: M.S.L. - Enterprise (Les Yeux Orange)

Back with a B side, Komodo (@komodo-jkt) aptly names the track “Slow burning” with blissful countermelodies that intertwine with arpeggiated synths, sludgy 303’s and propulsive drums that create a hypnotic timbre. This dance floor absurdity is taken from Komodo’s upcoming release “Running Into The Sun” for “Not an animal” records (@notananimalrecords) which was born from the party debris left uncleaned from London’s infamous Bad Passion parties, originally ran by Chris Stoker and Andy Bainbridge.

Our pick from this release is Latrec’s interpretation of “Slow burning” adding their intrusive Techno remix with a sub-bass driveline that completes this quintessential release.

Do not want to sound exaggerating things, but this gig for me was the most enjoyable ever. One for the books. We all knew its the last one for a while, so everybody in the dancefloor including me gave it all that night, which got well into the day and finished at 3 AM daytime. After a long time (5-6 years??) i played only vinyls in the club, which for me is a special thing. My set took 9 hours - and its very very rare thing for me to play alone and so long at Smala party, which is usually dedicted to our favorite guests. But the most important thing was the athmosphere and the smiles of the people in the club, I rarely see this kind of unity and joy in the party. Thank you opiumofthepeople ❤️

In these 9 hours you'll hear favorite peaces from my vinyls, which I collect for more than 15 years. Total smala hits, old and new, just recently bought specially for this night, also records i never dared to play in the club. Gifts from my musican friends & peaces bought while travelling. In short - these records containt lots memories and energy in them. Let's start from the very first record I chose - it's the track "Enviroment" by Marc E - long time favorite producer of me. It's 5:30 in the morning...

Lithuanian underground celebrates new debut release by an experimental electronic group Five Rituals. Electro-acoustic experiments with finest musicians like violinist Lora Kmieliauskaite and Barbora Gailiute refine the sound to a new dimension. Chopped-up and refined breaks, Musique Concrete cut-up noise effects with cinematic sound design and earth-shaking wide bass, raw and saturated analogue drum patterns takes listeners to worlds where they've never gone before.

Five Rituals (@jaroska x @auren1) is a live act duo consisting of Deividas Jaroska and Andrius Grinevskis. Both of them have established themselves separately as leading artists in Lithuanian electronic music underground who are just as comfortable operating in the uncharted area of experimental music.
