Following up to Rob Belleville’s inaugural delivery, Fluid Electronics returns in 2021 with a new collaborative EP courtesy of Dutch veteran Jarno, the man behind Trouw's infamous Below evenings, and Fluid Electronics’ co-founder and owner Shirazi, back in full swing after a ten-year break from production. The EP features remixes from Amsterdam’s Love Over Entropy and seminal Rotterdam-based duo, Duplex. 

The A-side finds Shirazi and Jarno dishing out a vaporous dub with the focus track, “Late Night Thoughts”. Engineering a mix of reverb-drenched atmospheric techno laced with hedonistic house accents and mystique-imbued melodies on a dreamy tip. Upping the tempo and overall vibe of the track, Love Over Entropy’s remix propels its listener in a blazing corridor of synth arpeggios and luminous chords.

The flip side sees Shirazi go solo on the ethereal “Continue Learning”, all in evocative spaciousness and textural finesse, as it merges the immersive depth of Basic Channel-esque envelopes with further straightforward floor dynamics. Clone-affiliated duo Duplex provides a tighter, jacking match to the original’s vaster headspace, tweaking it into a proper clinical club-ready weapon.

The mission behind new London label E2-E8 is a simple one: a means to celebrate friendship and share new artists with the world. Their first release calls on the talents of two friends, Netil Radio founder Miro Sundaymusiq and sound artist Avsluta, both of whom offer their own take on soothing and tranquil sounds and the introspective states they stimulate. While Miro takes care of the A-Side with two versions of the same cut—a deep trance excursion and a beatless techno number—Avsluta offers up two ambient Meditations, 03 and 18, both of which are laced with emotive, soaring synths.

Cadee makes his Factor City debut with three great original tracks driven with leftfield electronics and  followed by healthy remixes by Jackwasfaster and label honcho Undo.
Cadee is the project through which Diego Cadierno releases his more dancefloor oriented works. 
After more than five years exploring more “brain” fields (idm, breaks, electro...) with his alias Promising/Youngster, which allowed him to release in labels like Sin Hilo, Nebulae or Several Roots and play live all around Spain, Diego feels the need to go back to his more hedonist roots. This “Happiness” EP is the first released under this moniker. 
Opening the record we find “Besta”.  A very personal song with sinuous synth lines and filters. The percussions and vocals, along with the bass line drives a hypnotic and deep track. JackWasFaster remix is more raw, edgy and straight to the dance-floor, playing with the orginal synths and vocals, and adding what sounds like a distorted synthetic mouth harp.
The second track “Moving Circles” it's a playful and melodic song that captures the essence of Cadee’s approach, teasing the release with its floor-focussed sharp beats and synth stabs. 
Closing the Ep the tittle track “Happiness” it is a reflection on the happiness and responsibility of bringing a child into the world. A deep and wide tune with arpeggiated bass riffs, haunting vocals and vaporous guitars.
Undo strips down the original of its more Pop elements, vocals and guitars, and pays homage to the bass in his remix adding an hypnotic groove and mental synth lines.

Exclusive: J. Aria - TPL (The Perfect Love)

The second installment of Super Drama's charity compilation Family Drama - with all proceeds going to Mermaids and The Black LGBTQIA+ Therapy Fund - is about to drop and features eleven tracks that touch various electronic music genres and has a preference for UK-influences. After Super Drama's pre-release of their track Radiance a while back the time has come to reveal another little gem from the compilation, namely J. Aria's TPL (The Perfect Love). The Londoner delivers an approach that elegantly moves back and forth between House music and Breaks, also covering a sense UKG by implementing those highly pitched vocals. The result is a perfect love between those influences and genres in the close to five minute lasting take that manages the balancing act of just the right amount of vocals and musical elements to convince its listeners.

Family Drama 2 will be released on Super Drama Records on September 24th, 2021.

EXCLUSIVE: J. Aria - TPL (The Perfect Love) [Super Drama Records]

I lied; THIS was my very first attempt at fusing synthwave with progressive house. This is a very old track of mine that I have revived and remastered. This one doesn't have a drop and is rather short-lived, but it otherwise encompasses what you'd expect from a track written to combine synthwave elements with prog-house elements. To be honest, I completely forgot why I named it "higher power." I probably just thought it "sounded cool."

Informed by a highly influential early 1980s electronic music classic, the title track literally mind-sets the theme of Llewellyn’s latest release, kicking off with a euphoric vibe and drums shimmering with digital artifacts. At times almost dreamy cinematic pads, upfront with energetic Moroderesque propelling bass lines, are the sound signatures of Llewellyn’s journey through a warm and synthesizer laden EP, reviving the sound aesthetics of both the post-discoid VHS and today’s club era with a contemporary touch. Finishing off with a laid-back facet, this four-track EP contains enough warmth and drive to get you safely through the cold months, into a warm and promising future.

Llewellyn is one of Martin Enke’s producer’s monikers, who is closely associated with the Riotvan crew and also known as Lake People. Past releases can be found on labels like Riotvan, Uncanny Valley, Permanent Vacation, Mule Musiq, and others.

As the name states Live at Robert Johnson is the associated label of the respected venue in Offenbach and incorporates what the club stands for. The imprint has been establishing a solid ground for the new Frankfurt sound since 2009. By featuring internationally acclaimed artists LARJ has been providing DJs and audiences with essential tunes in an extensive range of high-quality house music. Laid-back dance-floor awareness with a sense for particularity in sound is what might describe best most of the releases and artists.
