Playground Records has the honor of introducing the debut EP from Cordoba-based duo She Teiks. Owners of a strong and charismatic sound, Pompi and Bel present us with three songs full of energy and good grooves. 

Acida has simple and well-placed sounds: a bounced kick, open hi-hats with some other clatter, closed hats and a strong and gummy acid bass line right at the front. It’s a clean stomper with an inexhaustible movement that never stops.

To launch his new label Fangodischi, Italian producer Fango has reached deep into his arsenal of heavy drums for a two track EP called Lento. The slow builder evolves into a menacing industrial trip smothered in dystopian rhythms and metallic sounds, whiffs of steam and disturbing noise. The EP recollects the dual vision the artist has of his homeland: Venice, a “Disneyland” for tourists, and Marghera with its industries and poisons.

Over the past few years, UK artist, Saytek (aka Joseph Keevill) has carved himself a reputation as one of the electronic music scene's most innovative live acts with his impressive improvised shows. His mastery of machines (including analog synths, sequencers and drum machines, alongside advanced technology), combined with a unique energy and ear for melody, has won him acclaim and fans worldwide, ever present, offering improvised sets of deep and hypnotic techno, Acid and House jams. London pair Metropolitan Soul Museum land on Cuore with another of their fully formed EPs, this time with a remix from Iron Curtis.  This London based duo is made up of Nick of Akra, and Filippo, who first linked up in 2015 and have released an array of outstanding records including the standout ‘Tesla’ EP on Toy Tonics. The pair make melodic electronic music which encourages you to dream which has found favour with an array of established names such as Tom Trago, Chaos in the CBD, Detroit Swindle and Roman Fluegel.
Our pick up was closing track - 'The Unexpected Return' is a hugely atmospheric and beautifully peaceful ambient piece with gorgeous synth arps to close out a cultured EP.
