OSS 1 - The Embrooks - 9th Dec 2016

Possibly the best living front-man that we, the people of the world, have. And with that knowledge, he should be treasured. Pigmeat Johnson fronts the awesome rock'not'roll band Beast With A Gun. It's in that capacity that I first met him, over 10 years ago, when they came to Old School Studios to record a radio session. They rolled out of the back of the van at about noon, already having drunk a sizable amount. They continued drinking throughout the session, and recorded the first of many classic sessions for me. Singles, radio sessions, EPs, and live gigs. There's a lot of stuff in the archive at this point, and we're adding another classic to it right now. Towards the end of the summer we put on a little show, and Pigmeat, to my surprise, agreed to do a VERY rare solo set. He wrote all of the songs in the 2 days leading up to the show, and they all centred around THE LETTER "D". This is what happened.

OSS 2 - Pigmeat's One Man Band - 16th Dec 2016

CLAWS helped make sure that my 43rd Birthday was a good 'un, with this storming set of Buzzcocks-esque indie-rock toons. Special guest appearance from my glamorous assistant Conor Etteridge on bass guitar.
Recorded by me, Mr Jason, onto analogue 8 track reel to reel tape, just the way nature intended, with all the juicy bits left in.

OSS 3 - CLAWS - 23rd Dec 2016

Another excellent set from my birthday party from this summer. David, who IS The Howtocuredyslexia Band, is one of my favourite songy-singwriters, and I asked him to play "the hits", which he did. One of which wasn't his hit, but then, I didn't specify whose hits he should play all of.. No matter though, as it was a great choice.
