The ISO EP from 21-year-old producer @patrickmagno is an explorative project that, as its title suggests, focuses itself on the individual parts rather than the whole. Where as most records utilize songs as pieces that together illustrate the bigger picture, ISO's uniqueness comes from the fact that each track provides its own individual story. There's no rhythmic or melodic trait that stays true throughout, no theme or concept that gets mirrored across the board. Instead, songs survive dysfunctional and abstract, and launch the listener into entirely new directions with each minute that passes.

To further convey this feelings of isolation, we've teamed up with visual artist Adam Ferriss to create an entirely new scene and feel for each song on the release, available for free download on November 4th.

Clearing EP, our 7th 'Our Sounds' release comes from 23-year-old Seattleite Matt Lucas aka Lucas. @yung-lucas has already released the 8th track in Ryan Hemsworth's on-going @shhsecretsongs series and we are very proud to be releasing his first ever 4-track EP.

Although Lucas' music is produced via a computer, we can't help but be reminded of the lo-fi indie rock we grew up with while listening to it. Lucas isn't afraid to sample anything whether it be seagulls chirping, wind chimes or water drops. He possesses the unique ability to synthesize the emotive feelings one gets from noughties-era indie rock songs with more modern hip-hop percussion and production techniques. This is why we knew we had to release his Clearing EP. The result of his production style makes for some of the most beautifully unique computer music we have come across in 2014.

The first single from Clearing EP, "Her Room," somehow captures both the soulful angst of our favorite Sun Kil Moon songs and the drum patterns and slowed down, distorted vocals of our favorite Houston hip-hop. We love it.

met james in 2012 at sxsw. it was our first time ever throwing a party / event, and it was their first time ever traveling for one. James was in genuine disbelief that someone would like their music so much that they'd want to fly them somewhere to perform. he was the nicest dude and so grateful for the opportunity. although that was my only real time spent with him, it was an experience that ill remember forever.

aand we're back. our first LFTF mix in years. and it comes in form of a beautifully sloppy jungle mix from Chicago based producer/dj https://soundcloud.com/anthonyabbadessa, aka Tony Rainwater.

i've been extremely happy to have discovered somewhat of a new wave of jungle music being made on soundcloud. to make jungle now in 2018...that sounds new and inspiring yet acknowledges its roots..is hard to do. But people like Tony, as well as https://soundcloud.com/aciddallas and https://soundcloud.com/ksetdex are bringing contemporary styles and sounds to a genre that is literally dependent on feeling like the past.

this mix - originally rightfully titled "Rhythm In the Sky" - brings together all the best reasons why jungle is like nothing else and is still so fun to listen to today.
