Begine is nostalgia, tunes of the past with interweaving of modern sound. The atmosphere of the northern character, combining perception of several states of mind. Having embraced the vibe, the most experienced representatives of St.Petersburg drum and bass scene took part in the remixes: Chillhomers, Krot, Caim.

«Tobacco and wine»: St. Petersburg’s bass producer Intervent hits us with a brand new take on one of the most iconic songs written by the famous Moscow songwriter, record producer and The Voice show participant, Egor Sesarev. Inspired by the transcendent romance and the nostalgic vibe of the artist’s music video, Intervent immediately got the remix idea, as he switched the pace up to 174 bpm.

Intervent was deadly confident that the spirit within Egor’s vocals is perfectly suitable for creating an atmospheric, authentic piece of liquid deep drum n bass. Track represents a canonical dance music structure: melodic and dynamic verses are followed by short vocal hooks on the choruses. Despite the lightness of the “Tobacco and wine” and the presence of classical liquid elements, it remains dynamics and energy, which is necessary on dance floors.

According to the artist, it was important for him to leave all the melancholy on the verses, and on the choruses emphasize the singer’s high vocals with confident Reese bass with various additions and modulations.The track ends with a half-time part, reaching its emotional climax. Intervent wanted to express the beauty and flexibility of vocal drum & bass music on this «Live History Records» release.

Grinda & Nic ZigZag – Need Nobody: Is one of several collaborations of Grinda and Nic Zigzag recorded after more than ten years since their last collaboration. From the first seconds, the track refreshes the listener with the high-pitched breathing of keyboards and percussion, raising good mood.

The piano part, which develops along the track, sometimes growing into riffs, creates the mood characteristic of the classic Liquid Funk, and the vocal hook from classical disco that suddenly appears in the intro evokes nostalgia for the golden era of electronic music of the 90s. A dense and clear groove of drums and bass in the drop, transfers the composition to the dance floor mode and, exploding once again with synthesizers before a break, preserves the dance dynamics until the very end.

Hold My Breath is a new track by Caim, a talanted Saint Petersburg producer famous with his last year work - Stay Bright / What You Need. This time, inspired by sentimentality of his favorite SpectraSoul, Vitaly made us an extremely emotional track. Measured rhythm section in base of which there is a modernized old hip-hop break that sounds like present-day Drum & Bass - it supports groove and stresses dynamic. And yes, Caim is a producer who has his own special creativity towards drums-making! Filled with metamorphoses, the track vibe tightly keeps us with no intention of letting anyone go. Remarkable that Caim has made a great work on vocals again. In the breakdown track can be seen from another sight, demonstrating the old school vibes passages. In the second part track unfolds completely, attracting with its sublime electronic riffs. And that's not all!
