q. pls introduce yourself:
Chi Caldera aka Tropical Hi-Fi.

q. is there a story behind the mix?:
I’ve been living in a subtropical rainforest inside an ancient volcano for the past couple of years and this mix/edit was created there. It’s a blending of ancient and future, where tribal sounds and echoes of uncharted worlds meet four to the floor machine rhythms and synthesisers. I also added some environmental field recordings I’ve made here in the rainforest during the monsoon season.

q. what's the best way enjoy your mix?:
With your complete and undivided attention, comfortable, eyes closed... or on headphones as you navigate your way through the urban jungle.

q. describe a favourite object in your living room...
A fossilised coral mask from the island of Timor.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
New music with accompanying 35mm and video currently under construction.
