@vibesquad OG Bass music legend VibeSquaD is celebrating 15 years of releases and shows. This year VibeSquaD contributed a new single to MUISIQUE V.1 compilation curated by Clozee for her label Odyzey Music. VibeSquaD is the work of Aaron Holstein who turned 50 this year. His newest project is called Backpact, a plush analog lo-fi blunted sunset cruise through your afterthoughts.

Sophia Alexandra, a Toronto-based DJ and vocalist, has cultivated a distinctive style that merges melodic overtones and rhythms from diverse genres. Playing wide ranging sets that reflect a rich mosaic of influences, she frequently dives into the realms of deep house, UKG, electro infused and bass driven house & techno. Her mixes often convey a juxtaposition of deep intensity with light-hearted complexity, encouraging an energetic and playful dancefloor.
As a vocalist Sophia has gained support from local producer Pick a Piper, with whom she has toured locally and internationally. She has performed at festivals and clubs throughout Canada and Colombia, sharing the stage with globally renowned artists like Ghetto Kumbé, Systema Solar, and Uproot Andy.
Sophia also hosts and curates Mixology, a weekly Wednesday night event in Toronto. With the intention of championing the dance community, she showcases local and touring DJs and platforms diverse lineups that foster connections in the local electronic scene.

Afrique Like Me is a Toronto-based collective comprising Razaq El Toro, Martin Ses and Sonic Griot.
The collective curates musical experiences that celebrate art, electronic dance, underground and alternative music from across Africa and the diaspora. Afrique Like Me is also a pioneer of Eko Electronic, a fusion of alternative electronic music, funk, underground elements, West African music and Afrobeats.
Known for its event series, which bears the same name, Afrique Like Me started with an intimate after hours party in Toronto’s west end. The party grew into an event held in unconventional spaces, and is now a mainstay on the city’s social calendar.
The collective has performed in Canada as well as internationally, sharing the stage with acts such as Francis Mercier, Kasango, Citizen Deep, AMÈMÈ, Keys N Krates, Joezi and Awen; at festivals such as Electric Island, Pride Toronto, Bloom and Lumaterra; and at numerous venues, including Drake Hotel, History, The Velvet Underground, CODA, Grand Bizarre and Soluna.
Afrique Like Me is currently working on its highly-anticipated debut album, slated for release in 2025.

About the guest

Growing up as a first row dancer in Toronto, TIKA/Teknautika has been on both side of the decks since the late 90s. Influenced by techno, breaks and jungle, her attention is always towards basslines and rhythms.

When she moved to Grenada, she teamed up with Saqib as DDT to create boat parties bringing underground dance music to the island.

Always on the move, she has played shows in Montreal, Toronto, Miami, Detroit, New Orleans and Chicago. Her style is her own but her genres wander. You can catch, jungle, reggae, UKG, house and techno influences in her sets. One thing you can rely on is that she will make you dance.

Born out of a love of abstract deep bass, glitchy experimental percussion and dub sounds Living~Stone has performed in five countries spanning three continents. Located in Canada, Geoffrey Livingston also known as Living~Stone has performed with some of dubstep, drum and bass & bass music's most iconic act.

Living~Stone demands your dance moves and will not rest until all are united under the flag of great revelry and joy. As an alchemist of frequencies, Living~Stone blends elements of many electronic styles always striving for the perfect blend, drop and low end rumble and is not doing his job unless the dance floor is a soupy mess of high energy dance, merriment and general enthusiasm.
