We’re so excited to announce our next release on Radical New Theory from none other than  LUXE. 
Her debut EP ‘Belonging’ caught our attention a few months ago and we haven’t stopped playing it since. 

It’s been amazing having already had support from 6music with several plays of A83 from Mary Anne Hobbs over the last week. 
LUXE’s first release on RNT is off to a flying start and we’re so excited for what the future holds for her.

On ACEN048, Outsider makes her All Centre debut. Following standout appearances on four Pressure Dome compilations, the Derbyshire-based artist presents two forward-thinking, experimental club tracks.

Good Bone Structure opens with tense rolling snares and a shimmering pad as kick drums articulate the track’s broken rhythm. The arrangement builds to the introduction of a two note bassline which shifts and evolves into new and unpredictable mutations throughout the 7 minute track, underpinned by hard drums and embellished with ecstatic synth melodies.

Stick Shift opens with forceful four to the floor kicks and a dubbed-out, restless chord progression which darts around the percussion. The synth moves and grows, alternating with and reacting to the track’s ricocheting bassline, whilst syncopated claps keep the track’s compelling rhythms in check.

SoundUnbound Recordings boss Fentom (@the-social-fentom) is shining a light on the talents in his local stomping ground in the east of The Netherlands. Featuring music HGHR LVLS, Bastian Benjamin, Nerds With Acid, |grens|, Odaira and Oosterse Lach, and the label head himself, the VA vinyl release explores the fringes of acid, electro, techno and bass, with the aim of showing the world what’s happening in this lesser know underground scene.

pi pi pi premiere: Fentom - Mesotron (SoundUnbound Recordings)

Klasse Wrecks is happy to welcome new Berlin-based producer Jotel California to the family. The emerging young artist provides a strong and varied EP that introduces his deft production skills and understanding of balanced sonics. 'Borrowed Time' traces the lines of traditional electro but stirs the pot with new flavours and the result is something that is both unique and powerful. Late 90s Techno is referenced on the title track, a dark and haunting driver that emerges into euphoria later on in the journey. While the A1 features the cut up vocals of Babyblade and takes the listener on a pulsing trip that thrashes back and forth before restlessly settling down

Pev swiftly follows up the Pulse EP with another four tracks of sprightly club gear that continue to shape out his current areas of exploration in the studio. As ever, there are no fixed concepts or approaches - just an instinct for energising, inventive tracks taking in a range of tempos and rhythms.  

The first half of Pulse Modulation EP is marked out by linear rhythms which showcase the most techno aspects of Pev’s sound. ‘Pulse V’ is charged with the kind of alien synth lines which could only come from his studio, but also draw a line to the hi-tech soul of foundational Detroit techno. ‘Pulse VI’ has a starker, bleep-led sound pitched towards tougher dancefloors. 

’Pulse VII’ strips things back in comparison, leaning in on a blanket of bass and keeping the drums sparse and to the point - a study in soundsystem pressure.  Widening the spectrum of the record, ‘Pulse VIII’ sees Pev make a rare push up into 160+ territory - something normally reserved for his DJ sets. Swerving obvious break edits, his take on jungle is lean and crisp, delivering a fresh slant on the sound while maintaining the sharp focus of his current output.

Oso Feo is a true advocate for the underground, and lives by the ethos of building and uplifting community. He is half of curation and management for the online radio station and studio SutroFM, which provides a platform for both new and experienced DJs to share their music through radio shows, and live broadcasts. 

On the decks, he can only be described as a masterful vinyl technician. His sets will keep you locked on the dancefloor as he seamlessly transverses through electro, broken beat sounds, hypnotic techno, and psychedelic house. His musical style has been described as “TexMex ravescapes infused with lush Bay breakage.” He’s a true gem and rising star of the Bay Area underground electronic scene.

Here's a new one from me. I've been asked about this one loads recently and it's actually a remix rather than an original production. I was asked by Nervous Records to pick a track from their back catalogue to remix, for their 25 year anniversary celebrations. Initially it was a daunting task considering how many iconic tracks they've released over the years. After a few days digging, I remembered this ambient interlude mix that Francois K did of Kim English back in '97, and I always loved the chords that come in towards the end. It's the first time I have done a remix of a remix, hope you enjoy!

Taking their name from the neighbouring family of galaxies that contains the Milky Way, London duo Local Group may sound parochial but unleash cosmic scale energies on their debut 12”.

Inspired by their sets at UK festival Field Maneuvers, the 'dirty little rave' that the duo are residents at (playing alongside the likes of Mark Archer and Storm), title track 'Laser Dome' distills their unashamed love of hardcore's E fuelled rush into a haze of piano euphoria. Underground electro hero Dexorcist remixes it for the 140bpm crew, a rude bouncing bassline and hyper breakbeats keeping its continuum credentials in check.

On the flip 'Random Utterances' nods to the slower, darker, proggier breakbeat favoured by Tyrant at the start of the new millennium, bubbling acid bass, arpeggios, moody strings and '80s synth pop combining with interludes of lucid drug philosophising and distorted 808 bass. 'Rampage' signs off with a potent dose of pure jump up energy, a 150bpm Reese bassline tear out, complete with MC hype, drawing on the pair's love of jungle.
