Solo for Tenor Ganassi recorder written for and performed by  Genevieve Lacey (dedicated to the writer Patricia Sykes) and a companion piece to the more well-known/more often played 'Weaver of fictions', (2007). Some materials from this solo appear within 'The Navigator', opera (2008) - originally I thought it might be played as an epilogue to the opera, just like 'weaver of fictions', for Alto Ganassi recorder is played as the prelude but that wasn't how it was used.  The piece was also incorporated in the installation project 'TON' (Sabrina Hoelzer, Volker Maerz, Liza Lim, 2008).
