Lexia Majora is a Hold It Down resident and former manager of @room_303 and @sistersoundsexeter. While she still plays in venues in Exeter, she’s currently focusing a lot of her energy on finishing her PhD. Her thesis looks at social and community aspects revolving around the rominimal genre and hopes to publish this into a book afterward! Lexia Majora also really enjoys sharing her music on the radio and online, as she’s done mixes for platforms like  @derliebebristol, @mixnights and @intaresu, as well as on the university of Exeter’s student radio @xpressionfm, in collaboration with Beats and Bass Society.

On our next edition, Producer/DJ @Daramadj takes to the den. A core member of @daytimers_uk, Darama is known for a heavily percussive sound, mixing together South Asian sounds with UK bass elements for a beautifully unique feel to his music. 

With his debut EP “Chaal” and a series called “Pound Shop Edits” in collaboration with @yourboykiran where he creates club ready heaters guaranteed to get a floor moving, Darama is certainly a producer to keep your eyes on.

Performing performing across the UK, Darama exhibits his impeccable mixing ability regularly. With upcoming shows in Peckham and Bristol on the 6th and 7th July respectively, as well as a very successful MixMag in the Lab Ldn, we’d recommend getting an earful asap

As for the mix, unlike his namesake this mix soars high but lands firmly on two feet, with Eddie guiding us across the planes of electro, ghetto and breaks, not afraid to chop up tracks and get into the weeds of a good long blend. Reptoid Radio 35 has landed courtesy of Mimsyy (@mcmimsyy). Based out of Hanover, Mimsyy's been gigging around the Northern Germany area for a little while since he picked up the decks and the 16GB Sandisk USB back in 2020. 

Mimsyy's interests lie in combining music related to hiphop and techno culture, whilst also mixing them alongside groove and breakbeat elements. You can catch that on display here, with the mix focusing on various sounds that encapsulate the contemporary underground electro, breakbeat and ghettotek scene.

For RR041 we are joined by Tygre, a.k.a. Andreas, who ventured into DJing back in 1995, starting his musical journey crafting mix tapes and spinning drum and bass in Philadelphia's underground rave scene. Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno, and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of electro, techno, and drum and bass, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing, and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys.
