I began from a place of introspection: deep, hypnotic textures that evoke the sensation of thoughts forming in the dark. I wanted to explore how technical precision can be a canvas for emotion, how styles can dissolve into one another without losing their weight. For me, it’s about holding focus — both mine and yours — and letting the mix carry us somewhere real.

For our fourth release, we welcome Basel-based producer Ben Kaczor. ‘To Baby Bones’ showcases the tracks produced as part of Ben’s first live set presented at Above Below Festival in 2024. 

Written as a homage to a loved one, the title track of the EP is a gentle soundscape traveling through memories and subtle body shivers, far away yet never out of heart’s reach. ‘Bridge’, as if hung high above, suffuses the air with a thick emotional haze, lifting slowly as a walk along a fragile structure ends. Wistfully transforming present into past, ‘This Blue Light’ melds with the orange glow of the sun and dissolves into a white cloud. Driving and fizzy 'Punchbag’ brings all the dreamers down to earth. Immersing them straight into the buzzing front left, it buoyantly concludes an ode to the melody of life and the joy of a loving heart — To Baby Bones.

In our era of post-truth & questioned realities, tin foil hatted folk project their insecurities onto the puppet masters, those holding the strings to us all, the endless psy-op at play. For those opting for psychedelic enlightenment over psychological terror, we find solace in the dance, especially when the music is from heads such as Jeku. 

‘Peyote Trance’ follows the Helsinki based artists journey into the “trip”, where mother nature instead pulls the strings. A sound of trance often not followed, continuing the work of forebearers such as eXquisite CORpsE; where the zap of the synapses in the brain connect with the bubble & squeak of electronics. Creating a sound advanced by nature, yet resonating within the concrete walls us ravers know and love. All 4 tracks harness a kinetic energy that nudges you to ascendance, not desperately reaching for it like the heavy handed aesthetics of the genre can. Instead, the heads down motion of the music can take you there, and well, a little bit of Peyote might just help, as mother nature intended.

Split Pulse is a name to remember, that's for sure. Once a member of techno head family "Didžiųjų Agregatų Inžinieriai", later a cousin of "Minimal.lt" but lastly a prominent face behind the decks of Opium Club. Oh, not to mention his short lived rap afficionado as "Patamsių Gaivalai". This truly technical and groovy guy shows off his modern side: house-ish, maybe little disco-ish but still with visible treats of techno background and unique mixing skills. Sounds best during the early sunset, trust us.

His technically fancy sound with sprinkles of house and techno leaves no person untouched on the dance floor - everyone is moved by the intense impulses. In this mix, he emphasized techno sound and by trying to show his true abilities, he used "one shot" principle.
