PREMIERE: YUKIMASA - Chamber [NODE Recordings]

New season – new winds. Waves, to be precise. With our new WAVES mix series, we've set out to present the waves that want to take the storm by storm. 

The first name is Simonas Činga a.k.a. Cport Cistema, who has been heard and seen many times by more attentive listeners. He is a producer and DJ who has been working in the shadows for years, keeping a low profile, but has finally started to attract more and more attention over the last year.

This year seems to have been a productive one for Simonas, with a number of successful independent releases and even a cassette released on the iconic Los Angeles label 100% Silk. We are delighted to have taken the artist's spare hour to record a great set. Tune in – we're sure you'll enjoy it too.

Lizdas Waves #1: Cport Cistema

Some things are blessed and remain unchanged, while others take time and the patience of the authors to truly understand their meaning and beauty. For the same reasons, we have long watched the duo @PeanutsonKeto , known in our craft circles simply as Edvinas and Gytis, the curators of Sodo Reikalai night. 

After the slow wave of electronica that happened back in the middle of the last decade, the sound has remained relevant and confirmed that it was not some kind of herd yum or temporary fad. A very similar sound was shaped by the aforementioned Peanuts on Keto – everything came together in the second #WAVES. We’re glad that the gates of that secret garden sometimes open in Lizdas, and this time also in the mix. Let's wander.

Lizdas Waves #2: Peanuts on Keto

The first thing you will hear is the voice emerging from nothingness "So Good, So Good...". Is it a subtle spoiler for us what to expect in the next hour? We could hardly disagree.
The third instalment of our WAVES series is carved by our very welcome guests from Scotland - @DixonAvenueBasementJams . As you would expect, the mix is full of intrigue and leads the listener through the kingdom's bumpy musical landscape. And there's everything from acid splashes, classic House vocal adaptations to the gloomy dark alleys where Bass music culture was once born. But fear not - throughout the musical journey, listeners will be under the watchful eye of the legendary UK label's cerberus.

Martynas G is a wonder boy from Kaunas, who has been seen many times behind the bar here, in Lizdas. Obviously, the time spent every weekend listening to a different sound of the guests from all around the world trained his ear and a brains to pick out true gold from the dirt. See for yourself by listening to a mix prepared by this young prodigy in our weekly WAVES.

This week's musical episode of WAVES is presented by a graduate of the Lizdas Academy who co-founded „Kultas series“ with his colleagues. Domeika once mentioned that his curiosity to try out the decks came after a visit to our club, so this mix from now an active participant in the scene is a real pat on the back for us.

'Psychometrics Hidden Layers' is the fourth release from the Berlin- and Lisbon-based event series Art Bei Ton. This 7-track VA focuses on bringing diverse trippy forms of hypnotic sounds, from Ambient to Deep Techno.

Opening the VA, the talented Portuguese artist @maria-callapez invites the listener to experience her atmospheric Ambient universe. The Tokyo-based DJ and producer @ryogoyamamoritracks presents an immersive hypnotic techno track, transporting us back to some nostalgic moments.

Through her track ‘Dark Blue,’ @yuka welcomes the listener on a rhythmic and mesmerizing sonic journey. @hypnotic-black-magic releases her first track, showcasing her vision of a powerful hypnotic vibe, blending driving and trippy elements. The great German producer and DJ @mordiomusic offers us a piece, mixing adynamic drums and ethereal mood.

Wrapping up this release, the Indian artist @anejath embraces a more trancy and acidic sounds with his track 'Atlas Interface,' while the Lisbon-based producer @veigamusic creates a powerful dancefloor tune — a clean merge between deep and groovy techno.

Italian freshmen, Primal Code, grace the 8th release with four tracks of soothing storytelling. The duo’s visitation targets the mesmerising consolation of an indigenous area.
