Hidden Garden just closed up the biggest weekend of its existence with our flagship festival Natural Frequencies. It was a truly unbelievable experience where the stars aligned to create something that we will all remember for a long long time!

The main part of its success was the EPIC lineup of artists that blew all of us away with their skills, track selection and overall performances.

Here is finally my set that I had the chance to play at Natural Frequencies 2!
I can tell you that the stress level was at its peak. Exhausted after all the organization of the festival, I had a surge of energy seeing all my friends in front and the contagious smile of everyone present.
I am honored to have been able to share this moment with all of you and to free myself through the mixing of frequencies.
Memories are interpreted as dreams, an energetic passage in time that we have the chance to share. It's part of the beauty of what makes us humans.

Bio:
Vincent is the Co-owner and Manager of Hidden Garden Productions. He is the head behind the organization and coordination of the festival 'Natural Frequencies 2'. He connects many influential people thus contributing to the culture of the electronic scene in Montreal.
He has been gaining momentum in Montreal’s underground scene. During the past few years, he has curated a massive collection of organically-oriented music from all around the world, bringing the perfect combination of mature sounds, musical intelligence, texture, and nuance to his sets. Organic, Downtempo and Afro House are his go to genres and DePalma is known for his experimental style and love of live percussion.

NATURAL FREQUENCIES 2 LIVE SET SERIES: DEPALMA

Back where it all started - the wonderful folks at Musotopia had me back again to play my new hardware liveset. Full of originals and edits (both the ironic and completely unironic kind, of course!)This one's way more peak-time and dancefloor oriented than the set I wrote opening for @acidpauli one year ago.

I started composing livesets in my room at the start of the pandemic, hoping to play them one day in front of actual audiences around Berlin. Playing Musotopia back in 2021 was the first chance I really got to play to a "real" dancefloor - so you can imagine how happy I was to do this all over again one year later surrounded by Camp Schlampagne and the rest of my burner community. And to the Monkeys - i can hear you on the recording at 24:30... oh you ;D

Thanks especially to @konchord and @farn-belrin for having me (plus all the tech support!) and Cloud Kinski for a truly electronic-rockstar set beforehand:)

James Fish • Liveset @Musotopia (Kiezburn 2022)

I've always been a huge fan of longer set times as it enables me to fully tell my stories without any boundaries, which is why the concept of Flow Sessions deeply resonated with me early on. I deep dived in my library for days and after everything was set, I've just let it flow in my studio for 3 hours 33 minutes and 33 seconds, fluently grooving to higher BPMs, playing some of the most beautiful tracks I've collected over the years. Some hidden gems, some long forgotten beauties, a few new unreleased tracks of mine... I hope you flow as much as I did while recording this and it makes the upcoming autumn and winter months a little more bearable to you if you're based in the northern hemispheres. If you're to be found in the southern hemispheres I hope it makes you smile to the sun and appreciate life and music to the fullest. Isn't music such a beautiful thing?!

Ich öffne meine Augen und nehme mit vernebelten Verstand den blauen Himmel wahr. Mit meiner Handfläche ertaste ich das satte Grün unter mir. Als ich den Kopf drehe erblicke ich, mit immer noch leicht verschwommenen Blick, zappelnde Gestalten. Sie bewegen sich rhythmisch hin und her. Wohlige Wärme durchströmt meinen Körper als eine strahlend weiße Wolke den Platz für die Sonne frei macht. Langsam setze ich mich auf und meine Synapsen werden weiter mit Eindrücken geflutet. Aus verschwommenen schwarzgrau wird pfauenfeder-bunt. Lachen und wilder Tanz bestimmt die Szenerie, die umrahmt wird von elektronischen Kompositionen. Alle scheinen so frei und unbeschwert zu sein. Es herrscht eine Schwerelosigkeit des Seins wie bei Kindergeburtstagen aus früheren Zeiten. Die Umgebung ist detailverliebt geschmückt und die Teilnehmer dieses fantasievollen Kongresses scheinen dem Alltag nie begegnet zu sein. Voller Freude erhebe ich mich und begebe mich ins Getümmel. Ich schwebe durch diesen lauen Sommertag und lasse mich treiben durch ungeahnte Sphären. Die Momente scheinen unendlich zu sein und pure Inspiration wird in meinen Verstand injiziert. Ich tanze, lache, quatsche, spiele, entdecke und scheine den Garten Eden gefunden zu haben. Ein Rave im Grünen wie eine Offenbarung. Wann kommt nur endlich wieder der Frühling und die Zeit der gemeinsamen Verzückung.

Arkadiusz lässt euch heute seine Version einer bunten Tüte elektronischer Beats probieren. Dabei hat der Curator von Afterhour Sound unterschiedliche Stile passend in einander übergeblendet und somit einen treibenden Flow geschaffen!
