This month is Toi Toi Musik time :)

Claus Voigtmann is the co-founder of London’s underground and conceptual party, Toi.Toi.Musik. With sublime dedication to Djing and music production Voigtmann has patiently acquired the respect of his peers in what is considered to be remarkable achievements in such short time. That goes not only for his Dj sets at his very own Toi Toi in London but also Fabric London, Rex Club Paris, festivals, Berlin clubs such as Club Der Visionaere and many other warehouse parties but also by developing his production skills. Only in 2014 he has done tours in North & South America and Japan passing through clubs such as The Panther Room / Output in NYC or D-Edge in Sao Paulo, Air and Womb in Tokyo, just to name a few. As an architect, designer, dj and electronic music producer he is fearless and defiant to trends and hype.

A constantly evolving ear adds to his progression as producer, a very careful and patient one. Such dedication and patience has been paying off. His first releases have been signed to the beautiful Hello?Repeat label and Portugal's rising Assemble Music. Followed by a recent release on London's YUME records with a remix by Craig Richards. He just prepares his first release on his own imprint Toi.Toi.Musik.

We been knowing Claus and his wonderful girlfriend Isis for a while now but only got to know each other well over the last beautiful summer that they had spent in Berlin. We are very proud to have Claus' mix among our podcasts and we are most certain that there is much more fun times together ahead of us! Thank you so much Claus! We love the mix <3

Actually Junger got in touch with Levat in the first place years ago over the net talking about what we love: music! We had the pleasure having him here in Berlin shortly after and we all became close friends from the very first second cause he's got such an honest character, a one in a kind humour and heart and an exceptional taste in music. It is just beautiful we got to know you so well and we can't wait for many more amazing happenings!

It's with great pleasure to finally have our buddy Michael Melchner on board of the Lizecasts. And he has sent us a true beauty. Thank you so much! <3

Michi was born in Nuremberg where he still holds a residency at Rakete and Mitte Soundbar throwing his own eclectic partys bimonthly. He's played a few times at beautiful clubs like Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson or Womb in Tokyo. He was also once treated to some beautiful Toi Toi Musik experience in London same like us a couple months ago. Last time we played together was when he joined us last year for a magic 24 hours session at Club der Visionaere.

He moved to Berlin two years ago hence we got the chance to hang out more and moreoften also outside of the mambo jambo club shizzle. We do have loads of similar interests and it's just a real pleasure to hang with Michi cause he has the most calming personality and is one of the most zen people you could imagine.

His last releases came out on Sensual, Concealed Sounds and Eklo. Same as St. Joseph, Michi has just recently joined Joao Maria's Carpet Music Agency in Lisbon.

Simply summarised: Michi is a music loving record nerd with whom we gonna have tons more fun and beautiful times that's for sure.

It is with greatest pleasure to have Omar with us this month. We have been knowing each other for a couple years now as he is also living in Berlin and it's always so nice to bump into him cause the Uruguayan is such an always happy positive human being when we see him and a real soulful digger. 

He is a vital part of the Libertine Crew, a bunch of great guys and a conceptual high quality party that we also really love and always try to attend. Lately they have been teaming up with Sleepers and it is truly amazing shit they do at the moment.

He also did beautiful recognizable podcasts for NoRules and the guys from Undersound in London.

We can't wait to see you again man and hear you play as it's always such a pleasure :)

A while ago we had the great pleasure to meet this "true italian artist". The last time we had the chance to listen to his warm up set was at Hoppetosse in May when he was playing for Alex Picone's Seekers night also featuring our homeboy Isherwood. That's when we asked him if he would like to share a podcast with us. Thank you so much Nicola for doing so :)

Niff finds inspiration for his beautiful sets from all types not only from UK garage and old school house. He even has a classical approach as he loves the piano and often chooses to combine genres and unusual vocals. 

In 2014 he helped kickstart and is still currently heavily involved with the international project, Seekers, a crew that spreads the love for vinyl with their record label and intimate parties.

Dylan Thompson is originally from Widnes which is a little town just outside Liverpool. He studied Geography at Leeds University and moved to Berlin last year. He told us that he had just graduated and didn't really fancy moving to London. But moving closer to the scene and the music he passionately loves was definitely on his agenda. 

So Berlin it was, also due to the fact that he had a few friends living here already which made the decision easier for him. Josh - who is one of them friends - used to throw a regular night at Chalet so he also got to play quite a lot right from the start. 

These days he often teams up with Matthew Unicomb aka Preesh Mendez and Philip Kearney who run a party called "The Buff Dance", a beautiful hang out with exceptional music, mostly at Club der Visionaere or Hoppetosse.

And.rea was born in 1997 in Varese,Italy. After playing and studying drums for several years he got in touch with electronic music and the local club-scene at the age of 15. 
After being influenced by Yay parties he started collecting records and cultivating his passion for production and music in general and he quickly became part of the Yay resident djs team. 
At the age of 18, And.rea released his first EP, a double vinyl on the Berlin based label Melliflow, managed by Vera and Alexandra.

The Lizecast is a monthly episode representing our deepest desires in sound as a label and artist collective. Each episode will feature a one to two hours sound conglomerate by one of our befriended producers and djs.

We are honoured and more than happy to launch our monthly podcast. Who else would be more appropriate to start this Lizecast series than our friend and the producer of the first release "The Situationist EP" which is going to be released in April 2013.

Named after the impressionist and expressionist artist Lawrence Isherwood, he was born on the 6th of September 1988 in a small English town called Wigan, where his passion for music developed. The Wigan casino mod movement, Bob James, Martha Wade, Brian Eno, Esther Bryde, DJ Harvey, Roy Ayers and Dave Mancuso all had strong influences on his early life, having a deep love for vinyl (and touching it like a baby).
 
Isherwoods ideas do not follow any specific idealism on music genre but has now developed a unique style. He is recognised as a deep thinking musician taking the transcending paradigm shift from the soul of nostalgia to using hardware and software to practice creationism and arrangement, with influences from foreign lands, studying sequence pattems juxtaposed with dusty house lo-fi vibes from the moody heart of Manchester.

With isherwoods desired sound and musical expression devoted to the underground floors of clubs, you will hear music with depth created from deep rooted thought patterns that prevail his respect for avantegarde and experimentalist thinkers that are still connected with realism and the present moment.

The vinyl maniac has been spinning and collecting records for about 10 years now when he was still living in Hagen, near Dusseldorf. By making the occasional trips to his beloved club "Harpune" he found himself easily surrounded by people with similar extraordinary taste in music. Today he works and lives in Berlin where he recorded this beautiful mix. Patrick my friend, we are truly blessed to have you among us.

"Back Yard Impressions". Oh boy, what an incredible record it was last year in June. Adam was one of the various artists on this timeless bomb. In our opinion, one of the best records last year and indeed a promising label: Junk Yard Connections. Therefore it is obviously a great privilige having Adam Strömstedt do one of our monthly Lizecasts.

Adam is a producer from Stockholm, Sweden but currently resides in Berlin. Among some other amazing artists he has been releasing on JYC for about 3 years resulting in several tracks on 3 EPs. In 2010 he teamed up with Mr. Tophat to release his debut on JYC "Highvalley / Feel". Mr. Tophat, an incredible producer and a personal favorite is operating this fruitful label. In 2012 they also released on Crow Castle Cuts. His last Ep 'Swirly Tempel' has just been released in June. Enough said we reckon.

It's a great honour to spice it up a little with some Svenska flavour.
