This is an ode a simple song for the boys and the town of Stevenage where we all grow up and wanted so badly to escape from. It may have taken us years to realise that whatever else it was its streets, parks, town centre and lakes were a place so safe we could dream in it's Orwellian back drop while dodging the skin heads, mods, punk, rockers and pyschos all wanting to kill us. Every sub culture grow in its New Town streets it was the first real stop up the railway line from London everything took root in it cul-d-sacs. It was such mixing pot that it influanced our music in ways we could never have imagined. It was the place that would make us while nearly breaking us. Out under our lamp post waiting for the ice cream man watching as Adam blow smoke rings to the stars. New Town Dreaming.....................
