Leroy "LJ Truth" Ross

Leroy Ross best known as "Truth / LJ Truth" is one of the most diverse artist/performer on the rise on the South Florida scene. LJ’s current style reflects that of the smooth, thug love experience women dream of and guys are fearful to express. He currently records in the R&B genre but rest assure there is a lot more coming your way. When LJ is not creating music that speaks to your emotions and relatable life experiences, he is busy changing the lives of his Truefit clientele as a motivator and certified fitness trainer.  LJ’s mantra is, Live your truth and, elevate to your best self. It’s here for you “Come Get Some”.
Leroy "LJ Truth" Ross was raised in Orlando, Florida. As a child his parents, Pastors of a church enlisted young Leroy in the choir and he also performed as the bands drummer on occasion.   LJ for most of his childhood years was involved in sports but music has always been his passion. Leroy made some poor choices as a teenager and when it all caught up with him paid for those mistakes. Every cloud has it’s silver lining and it was in the darkness of his cell where is mixed pain with his once lost passion for music and became fixated on writing truthful / inspirational lyrics.
Some of LJ’s musical inspiration came by way of artist such as Prince, Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Bob Marley, Lauren Hill and more recently Music Soul Child, Joe, Usher, Tank, August Alcine and John Legend. After he got out, LJ went on to audition and place in both American Idol and The Voice but his past would stop his dream from being recognized though those avenues.
