Piano ballad

a song opening a new chapter in my life, a new music project, and hopefully announcing a full length album in the future

this is an acoustic version I recorded shortly after debuting my new material in front of my closest friends and family. full version is in the works!

this is a song that symbolises perseverance and patience, because I wrote the first guitar part over 10 years ago and through all this time I never could’ve figured where to use it. to be honest, I was afraid I’d waste it on some bad song. this fear only grew, so it was really hard for me to finally decide to have it in this song, but I’m really happy with how it fits the song. 

and yeah, that’s another romantic ballad, I guess that’s a theme for me ;)

this is such an easy song, but I really like the energy it has. It’s always fun to play it and it’s the first song I’d ever shown my falsetto in... ;) this song was locked in my notebook for some years, but after looking at it again (and adding some tweaks) I decided that I should share it and now I pretty much can’t imagine losing it from my setlist :) enjoy!

this song is a challenge I made for myself. I always wanted to write a very metaphorical song and stick to one certain motive throughout an entire track. Playing this acoustic version often makes me all into some kind of trance, because of the repetetive rythmic section. It’s a different song than other, but I really like it.

You Make It Very Hard Not To Fall In Love With You (acoustic)

this is just a little fun thing I did with lyrics that I found particularly witty ;)

Less Then Three (loop)

I’m a self-taught singer songwriter born in Cincinnati, OH and currently living in Poland. I played in a band (orderless) in my school years and in that period was introduced to the amazing world of writing music. I started by playing lots of indie songs, Arctic Monkeys being my all-time favorite band and Alex Turner my first (and probably last) idol ever. I was then intrigued by some heavier sounds but still melodically rich, such as Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down etc. After my band broke up (natural death in that life’s epizode, we all went our seperate ways and started figuring out future as „grown-ups”) I jumped head in into the world of film music - one of my biggest dreams is to compose a film score. The fascination with film composers added a new dimention to how I perceive music, and it was even deepened when I was introduced to the world of broadway musicals.

In the years after playing in a band and now, I’d gotten a degree in psychology and a specialization in human-computer interacion. These ~7 years had been rather quiet, musically speaking. I’d flirted with the thought of writing something in that period, but I’d been either unsatisfied with the outcome or when something promising had arised, I’d never finished it.

That changed in the October of 2019. I went for a 10-day vacation, and organized everything around writing new material. I wrote 10 songs that in coming months got polished and created into acoustic versions. This was totally new for me, because never before had I written lyrics first, then vocal melodies and finished with guitar line.

I am starting this journey after showing my songs in a intimate concert I did for my closest friends and family. I was filled with some incredible positive feedback, so now (I figured) it’s time to see how the world will react to what I cooked up.

I recorded some of the songs in their acoustic version, but I’m currently working on arranging my material into full blown songs. It takes some time, especially with a regular job and trying to have a life, but I promised myself I will record a solo album in my life - I think that’s the one ;)
