This is a sketch. The idea was to use drum tracks that I recorded at Type Foundry recording studio years ago, and break them up, loop them even; and then record arbitrary guitar/piano/what-have-you tracks over them. A project for the sake of being a project. Also standard fare, I tracked riffs off the top of my head, so there's no thought out anything about any of this music. This being the case I haven't assigned titles to any of these audio sketches, just the usual reference name.

Piano, acoustic sketch

Another Type Foundry LKN drum outtake being re-purposed in this short tremolo guitar dominated piece. The Electro Harmonix Holy Stain pedal was utilized on each guitar track.
As usual; off-the-cuff free-for-all-party-in-my-mind.

Trem

Another re-purposed  LKN drum out take from a September 2009 Type Foundry  recording session. The guitars are bedroom recorded: Fender 72' tele custom->Holy Stain->Fender Champ-> sennheiser 609-> Mobile pre-> cubase LE. No killer plug-ins on this bedroom cubase rig. No dithering plug-ins either. A pretty scratchy mix-down. I plan on mixing this in my proper studio.

RECKON WITH THE DIVINE AVERSION

Spontaneous composition written recrded performed on all instruments, mixed and mastered by Lauren K Newman. Tracked in the basement last night. I've been enamored 'Throwback' Pepsi lately. i drink it, and it inspires me. I feel happy, elated, inspired and refreshed; all of this from a natural soda pop. There's no chemicals in it, just sugar, carbonated water, caffiene etc. Pepsi has been inspiring me to 4 track (like old times)

DUCKS IN A CARAFE

Combatting depression one noise opus at a time.
LKN on all instruments. Spontaneous composition. Some guitar was tracked on a Sony portable cassette deck, then dumped into Cubase and spatially placed. Drums tracked submixed to two tracks.
Aluminum neck bass, and RedWitch FuzzGod pedal employed heavily. Also, MXR Flanger and Jimi Hendrix Octave Fuzz. 1997 Vista series Jagmaster heavily modified (Jazz master pickup in neck position, DiMarzio humbucker in bridge position).

This page will be dedicated to my 'other' recordings. More noise based and/or esoteric or just not yet finished, or wearing a lable. All tracks are basement laptop and bedroom desktop recordings a.k.a. sketches (via either a 2track M-Audio mobilepre interface or a Tascam 1641 interface), spontaneously performed on all instruments and recorded by Lauren K Newman. Sometimes I'll use drum tracks that I tracked of myself at Type Foundry studios, or at Small Servant studios. Either way- all LKN- all spontaneous sketches.
