Elusive techno silhouette Yaleesa Hall drops three new ones for their very own Dutch label Will & Ink. High-tempo techno and electro with the occasional sprinkling of EBM essence, this trio of tunes are as jackhammery as they are dreamy, with 'Newman' providing the gloomy foretaste; 'Shanks' the dreamy, electrified meat-on-the-bone; and 'Williams' the rapturous coda. Forever pushing the envelope, Hall hits with rapid fire, synth heavy techno to glitching, low-end electro and atmospheric electronica.

An album made by Victor and me, coming from a shared interest in 90s breakbeats. It has four tracks that shift from calm atmospheres to steady rhythms. The opera mix is quiet and spacious, built from tones rather than beats. The space mix adds drive, with breaks, basslines and touches of acid. The club mix keeps things grounded and direct. Victor’s Hypnotoad mix ties it together in a way that works both at home and in the club.

Frankfurt super-talent LUZ1E finally makes her vinyl debut on Lobster import label UGONGETIT. Huge stomping 90's house traxx from the raw. Life-affirming vocals, crunchy drums and speed jams on the flip. 

The A-side channels sweet soothing vocals over a clattering, percussive drum underlay, whilst the flip eschews the sweet-as-a-nut vox for hi tempos and crispy MPC hammer-time. Absolute fiyah straight from the heart of Frankfurt & proper hatchback bizz for hazy summer days.

LKR007 comes in hot from the Ballarat born now Berlin based producer Ouxh. 'Machines In Care' is a warm and unique EP touching on the emotional and introspective side of Ouxh's productions leaning on broken Electro and dusty IDM. 

'Machines In Care' features a rolling groove filled with unique percussion and field recordings of various machines layered in a Musique Concréte style. The similarly styled 'Birdman' continues on this tip with a slightly more hopeful feeling to it.

Finally 'Coma Void' quick in it's pace, flexes sharp electro with a catchy vocal and an ever evolving dub sound. Scattered bleeps and great drum programming carry this enormous dance floor destroyer.

Ouxh 'Machines In Care' // 12" Previews // LKR007

US Born, Marseille based house producer and DJ, Grant returns to Lobster Theremin, with a 9 track album brimming with warm, melodic, deep house cuts. Fantasy Blues drops November 29th via Lobster Theremin. 

Opener, Ephemeral Chase signals a cosmic journey, driven with four to the floor motive.  Mind Space is spaced out, modern deep-house at it’s best. On the flip, Zarenzeit joins Grant on Amaranthine Profundity, while Finite Elements chugs into an ethereal, vocal cut. Blurred Harmony picks up the pace, note a welcome homage to London town. Previous collaborator, Dan Piu features on stripped-back roller, Boundless. Joining forces on Invisible Skills, Brooklyn based composer Emil Abramyan injects otherworldly influences to the album, followed by Melancholic wiggler, Lucent Eyes. The Road In Front Of Me rounds out the release on soulful, classic tip, with velvet vocals courtesy of Jenifa Mayanja. Blissful.

Coming into orbit late November PS001.2 continues our dancefloor focussed explorations...

On the A-side Point Guard returns to the label with his razor-sharp electro outing ‘Odyssey’. An emotional expedition that harnesses dancefloor euphoria with a powerfully burning bassline. Joining forces to complete the A side is Melbourne producer Disrute and label head Andy Garvey. Here an ever-evolving synthline propels you forward throughout the track that builds infinitely but pauses just to release Garvey’s mesmerising vocal, ‘NRG’.  

Flip the axis and you will find swirling synths and scattered percussion that creates the murky club weapon that is emerging Sydney producer PMA’s ‘Hek’. Completing the release, Roy Mills brings you to a full rotation with ‘Aquatic Pressure’. His jittery breakbeat cut that slows to a half step mid way and returns with odd-ball synth mayhem.

We gather that dark times lay ahead of us, the unpredictable trajectory of this outbreak is out of our hands as we enter a period of real uncertainty. For our music industry we hold so dear, our musicians, clubs and festivals, the agents, promoters and dancers, and all others involved in making our industry what it is today, this has far-reaching implications for all of us. 

Viral Syndicate is a digital compilation series formed by ourselves to help support artists financially during the Coronavirus outbreak. All proceeds will directly fund artists involved with the release, or towards a charity of their choice if the artist prefers. We hope to deliver these compilations on a regular basis to help fund artists as much as possible. This is our way of helping our scene stay afloat during this difficult time. 

We hope our project and the music we’ll be sharing through this series will shed some light over this darkness.
