DC The Don creates without borders. The Milwaukee-born, LA-based rapper is one of the most creatively daring artists in hip-hop today. His genre-blurring discography presents a spectrum of ever-changing sounds, anchored by DC’s precise and direct delivery. For him, being different is a strength. This has been the driving force behind his music, evidenced by the former XXL Freshman’s do-it-all dynamic. Since delivering his first song “Everything 1K” in 2017, he has ascended from budding next-gen rapper to a burgeoning powerhouse. Turning adversity into art, he launched his playlist, DC FRIDAYS, and started developing a community and fanbase online. He followed that up with 2022’s My Own Worst Enemy, which introduced the masses to DC’s two personas: Donny and Rag3 Kidd. After the loss of his close collaborator and friend, Sad Frosty, DC returned with renewed vigor and a new mindset. And his 2023 album, FUNERAL, personified this meaningful change succinctly. 2024’s SACRED HEART 2 (+) not only catalyzed a massive year for DC, but it also cleared the runway for the June-released EP 2012 – a three-song set that’s striking upon first listen and even better on repeat visits. With more new music on the horizon, DC The Don is squarely positioned to continue breaking boundaries and cement his status as a rising superstar.
