Life This Way

Ever heard of a little town called Morrilton? No worries. No one has. Yet. This small, quiet town in the heart of Arkansas is almost exclusively responsible for laying the foundation for one of the most interesting and entertaining perspectives in the rap and hip hop world today.
 Born in Miami, Florida (1988) as Lassiter Leon, L Leon moved to Morrilton at a very young age. It wasn't long before he let music take over his life. At 10 years of age, he picked up the trombone and straight up mastered that piece of shit $75 dollar instrument. He made All-State trombone honors and it provided a full scholarship to pursue music education at UCA.
 College wasn't the long party he assumed, so he dropped out to tour as a drummer with the progressive metal band Paracardium.
 Better late than never, L Leon jumped onto the hip hop scene in 2015 to secure himself as one of Arkansas' most captivating live performers. 
 His unique style is most heavily influenced by artists like ProbCause, Kanye West, and Audio Push.
 With a tendency to blur the lines between hip hop and EDM, L Leon subtley caters to the festival goer w/ an electronic vibe that's sure to ask "Got a light?"
 In late 2015, L Leon joined forces w/ Arkansas power house Ueno Rhymez and the Id Mynded Group (!MG) to deliver some of the most dominating stage performances in the state. As a performer, Lassiter has performed all over Arkansas and surrounding areas at venues including Maxine's in Hot Springs, AR, Sound Stage, Conway, AR Jose's in Morrilton, AR, Clever Vicious Circle in Joplin, MO, Reynolds Performance Hall at the University of Central Arkansas, Black Diamond Club in Little Rock, and many more.
