Let’s keep it simple, this dance meets jazz concept started as a joke: take a bunch of friends, discover that they are highly talented jazz musicians and propose them to do something a bit different, play and perform your favourite E-dance / alternative hits / chill out timeless classics into their contemporary jazz style.... shake it as it was your cocktail of choice and you have Serotonin Fuelled Jazz Covers.

3iO are Richard Maggioni (piano), Juan Manuel Moretti (double bass) Matteo Giordani (drums), they are not newcomers in the italian jazz circuit, they have already two albums on their back and with BACK TO NEW ROOTS they challenge themself with a new repertoire: Fat Boy Slim, Groove Armada, Chemical Brothers, Royskopp, Underworld, Spiller, DJ Shadow... just as you never heard them before. 

Already supported by music luminaries like Giles Peterson, Chris Coco and Jon Sa Trinxa. 
Italian visual artist, performer  and Hell Yeah aficionado Andrea Amaducci provides icing on the cake original artwork with his distingueshed urban drawings.

"Waterfalls In Tanzania" is the 1st track from his upcoming EP - STARFISH releasing on April 15th, in collaboration with the talented Berlin based NZ producer/DJ Rodi Kirk. The sampled voices are the Children of the Tanzanian Wagogo Tribe recorded by Polo Vallejo who spent almost 20 years with the Wagogo people, transcribing, analysing & writing down their musical heritage in several works yet to be released.

Chicago-born but now Paris-based MC RacecaR and French producer/multi-instrumentalist Grant Phabao are hard at work this summer, finishing the last details to their upcoming album "A Healthy Obsession with Pétanque", and trying to find support to fund its pressing.

Already the 6th digital single from the duo, "Think It Al"' is a smoothing smoocher tune, quite unclassifiable with its unique blend of styles. On a 33% funk, 33% jazz and 33% dub instrumental, RacecaR recalls a Jurassic 5 vibe which should appeal to many fans of post-golden age hip hop grooves!

Mahala Rai Banda, Romania’s funkiest Gypsy brass band, blew minds with their 2009 album ”Ghetto Blasters”. Amongst the many hyper-fast tunes rocking on that disc there was one of sweet, laid-back grooves called ‘Balkan Reggae’.

‘Balkan Reggae’ found Mahala Rai Banda paying homage to their soul brothers in Jamaica. In the year that Jamaica is celebrating 50 Years of Independence, Mahala Rai Banda chose to reach out to their Jamaican brethren and invited London-based top dub remixer Jstar to give ‘Balkan Reggae’ a sonic turbo charge.

Long celebrated for his classic reggae hip-hop mashups, Jstar regularly tours the planet dropping good grooves on party people and pushing bass culture forward. Jstar, who knows a phat groove when he hears one, is a big Mahala Rai Banda fan. His dub remix of ‘Balkan Reggae’ keeps the tune’s lyrical, sunshine vibe while giving it an urban electro tweak and twist.
