/LLOYD is a Quartet that use improvisation as a tool to create music. Soundscapes are constructed and torn apart again from massive sounds to tiny deflated fragments, to create new musical surroundings around the group. A Quartet deeply rooted in improvisation music and the electro acoustic tradition that produces an energetic performance filled with different layers. Johan lead the Swedish jazz groups ”Mess” and ”Brownouts” and has played with artists such as; Staffan Mossenmark, Jacob Karlzon, Yoleeyo, Jojje Wadenius and Änglaspel. Jonny is one of the forces behind Brötz, a venue for modern jazz music, and he performs regularly with Tajphoon Tivoli, Pow-Wow & SOW & is one the original members of Swedish saxophone quartet Position Alpha. Michele performs both as a solo artist and together with the performance collective, Tajphoon Tivoli. She is currently completing her masters’ degree in improvisation & performance at the Academy for music and drama. Mike plays trumpet in a couple of groups and composes music for films, contemporary dance groups and theatre companies.
