Composed by Reb Aharon Charitonov, this melody became a favorite of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe. He named it the Beinoni Nigun, referring to the Chassidic concept of the struggle between one's base impulses and transcendental inspirations, which is illustrated musically in this song.
