Performing CV assignments with Squid and Axon-1

A break split into cue sets is triggered by mmMidi, with the velocity and v/oct outputs patched to Squid’s first 2 CV inputs to change cue set and speed respectively. Pamela is set up with 4 channels of varied modulation that are pre-patched to Axon-1’s 4 inputs. CV assignments are switched on and off in time with the beat, allowing the modulation to be mixed and split to various sample parameters, including cue set, speed, sample rate, bits, and filter cutoff.

In the second hour of the show, we played a recording of the first of a 4-hour b2b at the Closer Connections (@closerconnections)garden in Kyiv, Ukraine on 09/06/23. The event was hosted by Ogirky to raise money for freshwater relief for the victims of the Russian attack on Kakhovka Dam which happened earlier that week. Aaron and Beth reflect on this moment and what it was like to be in Ukraine performing at this time.
