Black Merlin’s sound is unique - brooding, dark, cinematic elements juxtaposed by an obsession with late-80's FM Synthesis and expansive production techniques.

“TRANS-80” is an hypnotic, bass- driven epic in which tension and dynamics are balanced expertly; elements appear, disappear, constantly interchanging to build an air of suspense in this perfectly poised dancefloor destroyer. On the flip, “BLACK MAGIC MUSHROOMS” Merlin drops the tempo but increases the deepness as are taken on a dream-trip of synth-drones, reverberating drums, bird-calls and the hum of distant tribal percussion.
