A multi-instrumentalist producer and selector - a resident at both Adonis and Dalston Superstore. Their acid-camp, fierce-groove dramatics have seen them make waves across the queer underground, with appearances at worldwide institutions Carry Nation, Block9 and Body Movements.

💓 With acclaimed worldwide releases on Nervous Records, and their debut EP ‘PUSSY SUITE’ on Adonis Records - their genre-defying sound is drenched in soul pulling fierceness and romance from all corners of dance into a singular and commanding voice.

Their contribution to TWISTMIX is an encapsulation of the above; a peak-time percussive flurry of house, breaks and acid, topped with layers of vocals, grounded with techno and rounded off with pockets of progressive euphoria - an instant transportation to the dance floor in your mind.

SMUT Press is honoured to present Love Handle (Vivienne & Dugong) as our 34th mix in the sounds of SMUT mix series. Love Handle are a DJ duo based in Berlin. 

With incredible sets at parties like Hypersoft, Tender and Dissident, as well as mixes for the likes of Fuaim, Soulseekers Allowance and Radiant Records, Vivienne and Dugong are known to shell a dance floor. Here, they join forces for their inaugural mix as ‘Love Handle.’

Put together over a few months, this tapestry of loops, snippets from interviews and tracks tell a gay rave story. The influences of two djs intertwined, past and present, make the Love Handle sound.

"We wanted to do a proper, 128 BPM house mix. Our very ecstatic, house energy mix. It’s going to be just over an hour, because we want it to be in that radiant space for the entire time and play some of our older favourites, as well as newer favourites from our record bag over this past year. We’re not like ‘track of the week’ DJs, when we love something, it’s getting played over the span of a few years, sometimes even 10 years."
