After reaching it's destination, the Arc will settle in an orbit around the secret planet. At that time, theoretically, the Arc could be seen from Earth if one was to look in the right place. Believing this to be true, Alphadroid plans on finding the Arc through a vigorous search of the galaxy and in turn, locate his creator as well as the Second Settlement. Some of the remaining humans tell Alphadroid that it’s a very long time to wait before it can even begin its search. Our sentient friend however, can’t relate. Being nearly immortal as a mechanism, it doesn’t experience time the same way as humans do. Mechanisms can understand and measure time, just not experience it, so Alphadroid is only thinking of the day when a search for it's creator becomes possible. When that day comes, the search for the Arc will begin. It’s just time, so it waits.

I spent some quality time with Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms modular system and multitracked a little jam into Ableton. I wanted to try what I could come up with using just that synth as the sound source.  Mixing effects such as EQ, dynamics, reverbs and delays have been used as I plain and simple just wanted to make music instead of a dry demo.

Going for some 80's inspired electro/italo/whatever. Haven't had this much fun making a track since Frequency or the X-Files remix. We really hope you guys enjoy this tune as much as we had producing it.

If things go well? We'll keep focusing on tracks that are similar to this in theme. Try incorporating some other shit here and there. Who knows?

Growing up, Linderman (stylized as LNDRMN) had always wanted to create music of his own. However, never learning how to play an instrument or read music was definitely a roadblock early on. Today, with technology affording a variety of vehicles to create music, he’s fully embraced the music production process, learning how to produce music through good old-fashioned trial-and-error and his fair share of blood, sweat and tears.
 
Inspired by great synth-based artists such as Devo, Gary Newman, Ultravox, The Cars and Depeche Mode just to name a few, LNDRMN has taken a pop music approach to his music making, producing generally upbeat and danceable tracks with a retro feel. Although primarily an in-the-box producer, LNDRMN does enjoy experimenting with analog and modular synthesis from time to time, and has been known to incorporate these types of musical elements into his tracks.
 
Currently, he is working on A Mechanism’s Tale. A project based on stories about a sentient mechanism and it’s unique experiences living on a post-human inhabited Earth.
