-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer or dj?

I have always loved music and my father inspired me to be a DJ and music producer. He was a DJ in his time and had turntables that I listened to as a child. I grew up with that musical culture at home


-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you felt?

It was incredible, one of my first touches in Panama, I felt the connection with people happy to see people enjoy my sounds and music

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

That they work for what they want, that they touch with the heart, a lot of perseverance, that nobody tells them that they cannot, perseverance brings good results.  May they find their sound and personify it

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

I think that one of the most difficult things as a DJ has always been the sacrifice of putting certain things aside for this musical responsibility and I think that sometimes the anxiety of believing that you do not do things well but one must trust oneself and not leave  that nothing takes away energy, always trust yourself

It is a profession in which I have to express myself, I feel a lot of energy being a DJ and I love receiving the energy of the public, being a Dj allows you to have your own style, put your creativity to work and do something new every day, it is my new me, it makes me totally happy, I think about it and smile.

-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you felt?

The only thing I felt was adrenaline and happiness. The welcome with which I was received was warm and I was very satisfied with the result. I felt that the public really enjoyed it.

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

Practice, practice and practice. Before you start find some DJs that you like. It does not matter if they are international or local. Listen to their mixes. Find out what you like as it will help you when deciding what you want to do as a DJ. Also be aware of what works, improve your skills as much as possible before thinking about the debut.

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

One of the most difficult things is having to miss certain personal and family moments because of having the responsibility of going to play at some place.

-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer or dj?

I guess I started like every DJ, as a diehard clubber and a true melomaniac, falling in love with music, but at the end , you realize you’ve fell in love with the dancefloor, the energy, the crowd. You fall in love with the interaction with the crowd, the faces, the energy and the smiles, realizing the true power and nature of music itself. Deep, I know :)

-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you felt?

First gig with kinda improvised, I was at a party, one of the dj’s couldn’t make it, and I was offered to fill the spot, I had a bunch of vinyls, but not enough to play the entire full 2hour set. However, I had several cd’s I was playing/learning to mix at the time, and was able to get a pair of cd players borrowed from a friend of mine. I have to admit, I was scared like one would be before jumping with a parachute for the first time, but as soon as I mixed the first 2 tracks, It was total and complete…Bliss. The rest, well it’s history!

-What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

Don’t wait to show the world your love for the music, but be careful and totally ready (and confortable) to give your best at the decks when that first time comes. You get few chances to impress your peeps and the crowd as a newcomer. Also, remember that you do this for fun, not money, or social media relevance.

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

I’d have to say that, it was very difficult to have a career in a Country mainly influenced by reggaeton and urban rhythms. Being part of a culture on which djs were highly stereotypical (buffed, cool looking, “hip” guys). 

In the end, both experiences taught me that, If you do what you love, and you are not afraid to show the world that love, everything will eventually fall to place.

I remember reggaeton singer/rappers looking down on house music djs after their show like: “ok boy, how do you plan to follow up this… go ahead “gordito”, hahahaha… every chance you get to play, is a chance to have somebody fall in love with your energy, your music, your flow. At the end our generation of djs was able to get the respect of artists from every genre alike, becoming references for our music, having our role and importance within the party and festivals growing exponentially and organically, paving the road for future generations of pamamanian dj’s and producers releasing musical masterpieces today. So once again… ENJOY THE RIDE, it’s supposed to be fun…

- What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer or dj? 

Definitely, I have loved music since I was a child and it has always inspired me to paint life. I grew up with my grandmother's reggae and bolero, my grandfather's roots, my mother's rock and roll, and ofcourse my uncles' r & b, rap and reggaeton. As a teen, I spent a lot of time watching movies to add more songs to my playlists and also read a lot about cultures and subcultures, each with its own background music; a lot of rap, a lot of indie and a lot of psychedelic instrumentals. As soon as I had my ID, I went out to do graffiti with my headphones, put a radio on Spotify, walk for miles and put together my playlists as I was walking, then I would go to a gig and listen to live music, usually open mics, rap or rock. Until I started going to other electronic music gigs and fell deeply in love with the effect of love and community that this type of music and its parties can achieve, which is what really inspired me to want to mix, that love expansion. I had two friends who on two different occasions explained to me how a mixer works. Five months ago I got my first console and I feel like we are building a beautiful relationship, hahahahaha.

- Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you felt?

When I moved to Penonome, I met Emilio Harari, who is a great music lover just like me, but let me tell you, he feels deep love for rock. So, on occasions he will plan a bbq  at his place and listen to rock songs on his Marshall all night. You must know, he is not an electronic music person. I told him I was getting a mixer, and as soon as I got my mixer, on Holy Week, a Glory Saturday, Emilio offered me a space to play at his house, he took out his super stereo, we connected all of it, I hit play and Emilio cranks the volume and says "Sin miedo al éxito.", which means- without fear of success. When he said that, the happiness took over my body cause, even though Emilio and his friends are not into this genre, I could see they where dancing so happy in a playful way. Emilio gaved me the space to share my true-self at his house, and it made realize that sharing what you trully are- it expands joyfulness, despite any diference in between. Gracias Emilio.

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

Every time there is something or someone that you admire, respect and enjoy, that's an opportunity to share. We are all the same. Approach and talk to them, leave a message, share, comment, it is a way to share what you feel about what you enjoy and an opportunity to see from that point of view that you admire. Explore and enjoy with dedication everything you love, it creates feelings that expands love and empathy in the world.

- What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

Well, in a very technical and raw way: transitions. I'm still looking for a way to achieve transitions in a way that the sounds feels as what I want to tell. I have noticed that the sound I have in my head, I can't find in other's music, but all of that will happen as I develop.

The feeling of freedom wen I first try it but I also have to mention Ruben Villegas give me a big push and facilitated everything for me to be able to start.
   
-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you felt?

My first real gig was at our friends house which supposed to be a small gathering and turn into a 250 pp plus project X in a blink of an eye,  we had casually organized the line up between friends but almost everyone end up not coming true so I end up having to play a 5 hr. plus set till sun rise!  Felt amazing just  being present in the moment and flowing whit the energy is the same feeling I get from surfing or sailing as cheesy as it sounds. 

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

Put in the time practice and listening to a lot of different music travel and do many different things to keep u fresh and inspired. But in a more get started 101  1. Always bring your USB 2. Always be willing to carry speakers or help in waverer u can 3. Be the first to show up and the last to leave 4. Find your crowd find your people and let them find you.  

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

Not to let my self get influenced by other peoples opinion or by how people I look up to play or do things , To over come it I just had to learn to follow my gut.

I started as a producer since I had been playing guitar in a rock band during my adolescence. For me it was something natural. What's more I started producing music at 16 before playing it as a DJ around 18.

-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you feel?

I think happy to be able to share music and surely stressed at the same time. It was for my school's end-of-year party, I played in front of all my friends and teachers. It was a very special moment. At that time they lent me 2 Cdj100, the first ones from Pioneer and I had to record CDs.

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

Patience and Humility

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

At first I couldn't make a living from my music alone, and for years I had to work next door.
By never giving up and pursuing my dream I reached it. And well, today I feel very grateful and full of being able to live from my passion. It is my most beautiful achievement I think.

Who is your inspiration? During my ten years DJing my inspiration has changed many times. When I started I was into hip-hop and turntablism so the person I looked up to the most would be someone like DJ A-Trak. When I moved onto playing more funk/disco/soul on vinyl I really appreciated the DJs who laid down the foundation for everyone after, people like Larry Levan & Frankie Knuckles. After arriving to Panama, I got exposed to all the new electronic sounds of the world and I immediately was drawn to the whole Crew Love sound, especially the likes of Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb.

Which is your favorite venue to play in?  Some of the best experiences I have had DJing have been in places that are not really "venues". Places like the jungle, on an island or just a stone thrown away from the ocean waves. But if I had to pick a proper venue, right now I would have to say it is the place I have my Thursday night residency, Coyo Taco. Void sound system and good vibes, what else do you need?

How do you prepare for a set/production? I usually start preparing for my weekend sets on Monday. I will spend hours looking for new music to use and then start organizing them according to what vibe I want to play at each gig. I then make separate playlists for each, most of the time similar but each having their own flavors I feel will work best for that specific night. Production is a new journey for me, so I don't have that much experience. What I have done is I go through my vinyl record collection and pick out records that are somewhat obscure but have certain elements, if combined, could make something totally new and fresh when sampled. I just started taking piano lessons and want to start learning more theory and composition. So give me a year and I think I will have a completely different answer to the second part of that question. 😉

Which gig has been the most important to you? I would have to say the last gig I played in Minneapolis before moving to Panama. I had a chance to play a night with a friend in the legendary First Ave. main room. This is the same venue where Prince filmed Purple Rain and has been voted the number two music venue in the United States by Rolling Stones. To have the chance to play in that room where so many great artists have played is something I hold close to my heart.

Who is your inspiration ? I have several inspirations. I love classic house music, so djs like Mousse T or Paul Johnson with sexy vocals make me dance a lot !  In Panamá, I can also find very good music styles, George Olmos, for example is my local inspiration so far. But if I had to choose only one, I think the dj that inspires me the most is David Mayer with his particular and very unique afro house music that expresses a lot of intense and soft vibes. His music really talks to me.

Which is your favorite venue to play in ? Since I started this new passion I played in Gatto Blanco twice a month, which is a very special rooftop in Casco Viejo: It became my " second house " and I just love the energy of this place. Selina Venao is also special for me, it's always full of good vibes and incredible people. Playing in front of the ocean is magical.

 How do you prepare for a set/production ? I take a looooooot of time preparing a set. Ahaha don't get me wrong, I just like to take my time on taking care of every detail, so I practice a lot before playing a set. I want people to feel my real vibes. For me, the preparation is about First selecting a lots of sounds, then classifying them in categories and for last, being the most selective possible of the music.

Which gig has been the most important to you ? Every gig is important for me, but I can definitely say that when i played in Selina Venao b2b with Funky Josh for carnival 2018 it was a very powerful set I will never forget. The music, the people, the place, the energy, everything was perfect and took me very high.

-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer?

I started producing when I lived in Canada. At that time I was just doing this mostly for fun. Working for Offering did push me to take it more seriously afterwards and this is when I released my first remix.

-Can you describe your first ever gig? What did you felt?

My first ever gig was in a small bar in the Antwerp (North-Belgium). I was very excited and very nervous. At that time I was playing with Traktor and made the biggest mistake ever... not properly know your set up. In the end I got lucky and it turned out to become a monthly residency. 

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer/dj? How did you overcome it?

The most difficult experience for me was when one day I got booked to play in a very commercial venue that wanted to try “underground music”. I started playing and after a few tracks the owner asked his resident dj to take over and play commercial music. At that time I didn’t understand and thought “am I such a bad DJ?”, but a close friend remind me that this place was not relevant for what I wanted to do in the future... so I just moved on and only good things happened since then. So F**ck that place lol 😀

What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or to any other influential dj/producer?

I think that this has been said already... stay true to yourself, in the end you can’t please everyone. Also trying to not let all the things go to your head. We play/produce music, we are not trying to find a cure to AIDS or cancer... so enjoy and just make people happy...

-What inspired you to start making music, in your beginnings, as a music producer?

I have always liked music in general, when I began to mix and understand more in detail the music that was i listened to and mixed, I began to realize that there were real external elements sampled combined with the musical structure that was already made. From there my curiosity to make electronic music begins. In the electronic music there are no limits and there is no rule or exact pattern to follow, i started with fruity loops, in fact my first EP that was signed by Late Night Music was made on that DAW called Midnight Movement with a remix by Alex Kaddour. Then I discovered other DAW’s such as Cubase, Reason and Ableton Live, which is the one that i currently use to produce. I’m more like a melodic and rhythmic guy, i have a strong passion for house and deep house music so that’s what i being doing with Glenn Gonzalez. I like to explore with other styles of electronic music so this year i beging a new project called GEGB, in this project im working with acid, break beats, minimal and dub techno. Im not a monotonous guy i just go with the flow.

-Can you describe your first ever gig? What did you felt?

My first gig was at a house of some friends, they where having a party there and they told me if i would like to play there and i say yes. I was nervous obviusly becouse there is a big gap between mixing in your bethroom wich is your comfort zone to mix for 50, 60 people and then you are not shure if they gonna like the music your gonna propose to them. Everything went great actually and i felt very very good, personal satisfaction. It was very very nice!

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer/dj? How did you overcome it?

My most difficult experience as a dj was at a redbull party, the hired me to play electronic music in a crossover party so i went there and i started to play my music knowing that was a commercial party (music wise) so i was playing music accordingly with the party but the people there want it to listen reggaeton, they where shouting “put reggaeton” for me as a dj of electronic music was awful and embarasing. As a producer i haven’t yet being in a situation like that.

-What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or to any other influential dj/producer?

The must importan thing is that you have to believe in your self, dont give up, don’t let anybody tell you “you can’t do it”, try to find the sound that characterizes you.
If you ask yourself what is that special thing this music have, you are interested in this type of music. This is a music that have a very beautiful energy.

-What inspired you to start making music, in your beginnings, as a music producer?

I always wanted to make my own music, since my firsts times as a dj, I play guitar, always was interested in music composition, I think what really inspired me to do it is to express new sounds to the crowd and dancefloor, a personal touch, is also a good way to make yourself known in other places.

-Can you describe your first ever gig? What did you felt?

Can't remember the first one, but one of them was in 2009, I remember I was launching my firsts events in Guayaquil, my hometown, and I rented this restaurant that by the day people have their lunches there but at night we make it look like a rave with disco lights, staying until morning and a lot of sound. I met in that party people and friends which I still have a deeply connection.

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer/dj? How did you overcome it?

When I go to perform outside my city or country, for every young newbie dj father will be always leaving his toddler baby son, he is in a really fun age, as I heard they grow fast and at this age they need you more. I  learned to deal with this with time, music and having lots of quality time with him before I have to travel.

-What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or to any other influential dj/producer?

For djs, search a lot of music, investigate about new labels and sounds, keep real your selection, explore new genres, combine everything with the style you like of music. Producers, let your music be hear, release and share all the time you can.

-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer? 

Learning to play the guitar and make songs and then record them was how we started when we were very young. We started learning about production more when we had a Teac 4 track and started recording in studios. Early electro , Yello , On U sound , Kraftwerk and dub were sources of inspiration and when house and hip hop music kicked in mid 1980’s we experimented more with turntables, samplers and tape loops. If you can imagine from there to modern times is a big journey and very many changes in technology have influenced how we produce music, but these were our beginnings. 

-Can you describe your first ever gig? What did you felt? 

My heart and pulse rate were off the scale and the energy from nerves and adrenaline were something similar to panic / terror but it was a great feeling at the same time to be able to overcome the fear and experience live performance. I remember nothing of the content of the gig , only walking onto a small stage and going into orbit , which was the start of my journey . 

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer/dj? How did you overcome it? 

The most difficult experience is when you run out of energy and become not creative. You can’t force music and expect it to feel good. Being relevant is about creativity in relation to its time. We must connect with others and relate and make music with a feeling because that is how we feel rather than do what the industry is expecting of you.


-What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or to any other influential dj/producer? 

Feel it , help others , be true to your heart , keep your ego in its place and remember music is a gift that is given with commitment from those who love to work hard.

-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer?

My inspiration was my life in the first place, i started making music because it made me feel amazing, it was my medicine after a hard life. I love playing instruments, but even more i love to mix them and create new sensations, applying fX’s, sampling and manipulating the sound to new results.

-Can you describe your first ever gig? What did you felt?

I don't remember the first gig ever as i think it was when i was 13 or 14. But i do remember Svojsice festival, it was the first festival and gig I had in Europe and actually the first one outside of Argentina, big memories! The line up was incredible and the vibe was amazing. After that i played almost every year since then, So as a gratitude with them I did a track with their name “Svojsice” 

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer/dj? How did you overcome it?

The most difficult experience as a DJ i would say it’s the traveling part, the time we spend at the airports or planes, alone missing your family. And of course the healthy part, it’s horrible to be working while you are sick or feeling bad. At the end, the music is the best company always! and that's how i overcome

-What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or to any other influential dj/producer?

My advice is, be yourself!. Don't follow the rules that everyone think you must do. Important Music labels are looking for fresh stuff, and not "the copy of”. Be patient, if you are doing it with love it will come alone sooner o later.

-Can you describe your first ever gig? What did you felt?

How to forget it, it's a long story, a friend sent me a flyer with my name on it by surprise, and I didn't know how to play with cdjs so I went to play with my computer to warm up the party, 5 minutes before I play the party was cancelled, and we went to Casa Jaguar because some friends were playing there, when I arrived Luis del Cid asked me how was my first gig and I said to him that was cancelled, and he said " You will play tonight here, Dj Giant falled sleep" and from playing with computer with no people I went to Playing with cdjs for the first time with people, of course my friends helped me out with the Cdjs, it was so amazing all the random things that happened to me for play for the first time, all my friends supporting me and cheering me out... it felt amazing, its a day that I wont ever forget.

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer/dj? How did you overcome it?

The most difficult for me was to make a name known, to be patient and wait for my turn, because I wanted to always give more but at first we have to be patient and humble enough for our turn to shine. 

-What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or to any other influential dj/producer?

Just be yourself, be confident all the time, never stop learning, fall in love with the music, and making it your passion.

- What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer or dj?

There is a moment of connection, an energy bridge that is created when a DJ manages to read the public and through music connects with them, it is an art to achieve that sweet spot where as a DJ you feel that you expand the collective consciousness and connect with the rest of the people in front of you, just that feeling is our main inspiration.

- Can you describe your first ever gig? What did you felt?

Like many of the Djs in Panama our first gig as a duo was at the club "Casa Jaguar", we were invited by Dj "Cuart". We remember being quite "confident" of what we were going to do, although for some reason we couldn’t stop drinking alcohol due to anxiety we suppose; there was an Allen & heath mixer and two CDJ Pioneer, we organized our set up including an X1 and the computer so that the X1 driver could work, at that time Halo did not have much experience with CDJs but we still felt calm. People started to arrive, around 50 people possibly, some familiar faces and some new ones. Just as we got up to the DJ booth the pressure began, when we saw all those buttons in front of us and the people in expectation we felt that all the alcohol got us and we were drunk from one second to another, at the end the night flowed quite well, there were some mistakes but we still felt that we were Tiesto in his best years, what a good feeling.

- What has been the most difficult experience as a producer/dj? How did you overcome it?

Do not loose your attention. There are many styles, many types of music, many ways to mix, there are many types of party and festivals, and it turns there is an audience for everyone, at first discovering yourself is a difficult task, building what defines your style of making or mixing Music is a challenge in so many aspects

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or to any other influential dj/producer?

If you feel that searching for music and sharing it with others completely fills you, continue to do so, as long as you do something from the heart it will go well, and this beautiful musical world has room for everyone

As a duo actually it was a few months ago on @spiritusanta anniversary and it was an incredible Wonderful moment, at the beginning a bit stressful because we had some problems with the songs and we thought everyone noted it but actually no one did it hahaha  and after all it was one of the most magical days , for us as sisters to play together on a event that meant so much for us and surrounded by the most amazing people we could ask! We were playing with the biggest smile you can ever imagine

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it

To find music that actually transmit the message we want everyone including us to connect with, I mean sometimes you have music you like to listen and music you like to dance but that’s not necessary the music you want to play, so understand that difference and not feel attach for some songs might be the most difficult til now 

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

To believe in themselves, to believe they’re capable of absolutely everything they dream of, to always act from love and from happiness! To connect with the flow of energy and to follow their intuition! because If we act guided by our heart, everything will be fine!

-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer or dj

I started playing piano when I was around 6 years old.  When I was 9 I started listening to Hard Rock and really wanted to be a rock start.  I started playing guitar and bass.  So I’ve been around music and being a musician since then. Mostly I played privately, for myself.  I started DJing when I graduated high school.  After a couple of years, I stopped for a long time.  A couple of years ago, I felt there was something missing in my life.  I started exploring new music and decided I wanted to produce as well.  Initially I wanted to stay anonymous and make music for others.   After much thought, I realized that my music is mine.  It’s a part of who I am.  So I decided to show my face and music to the world.

-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you felt?

It was a long time ago.  An afterparty.  I was playing trance at the time.  I didn’t have any formal instruction as a DJ.  I was just doing what I felt like.  In retrospect, it was a total disaster.  But I learned a lot from it.  It prepared me for every gig since.  It made me see the importance of practice and preparation.  How the essence of all is to satisfy the crowd that’s in front of me.

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

Listen to music.  Practice.  Network, reach out to people.  Always try to learn more.  Never think that you know everything or that you’re entitled to greatness. Success in music, like in any business, is a matter of persistence and perseverance.

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

I think that when you like something very much, difficult things don’t seem as bad as when you don’t like something.  So, with music, I’v always tried to see complicated situations to change perspective, fix what’s necessary and move on. 
If I had to point something out, I would say it was when I started sending music to labels and didn’t get the reaction I wanted.  My instinctive reaction was to say, screw them what do they know.  I then thought about it and realized that this wasn’t a rejection of Bruce Zalcer as a person but a criticism of something that was lacking in my work  So I pushed harder.  Invested a lot of time in bettering my producing skills until I started to be recognized by the labels I wanted to work with .

-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer or dj?

Born in 1978, I had the blessing to live my teenage years in the 90s, decade of the underground raves and the boom of Eurodance. Everything is near in Europe: one weekend in London, another one in Amsterdam or Zurich, at every party a five stars line up of trance, progressive & techno DJs.

-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you feel?

If I remember correctly, I was 17, in my little village in the heart of the Swiss Alps, a youth center, no more than 20 people. The DJ forgot one of his CD boxes at home, and asked me to put some music for 30 minutes. It was the beginning of the night, he came back, people were dancing I finally played 2h... It was a revelation, I'll never forget this feeling.

- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

Consistency and originality. 
I've been playing for 25 years now and believe me, life always tries to deviate you from music: studies, work, family, couple, friends, etc... Success rarely happens immediately, you need to learn patience and consistency.
For originality, I advise not following the last trendy subgenre every DJ plays. Listen to as many genres as possible, you will naturally love one more than another, and stick to it.

-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

Perhaps 2020 has been the most challenging year of my DJ life. I live with music, I live through music, and one of my pleasures is to share my passion with other people, especially on the dance floor. The virus withdrew us, without warning, this pleasure of communion and magic moments together. 
I overcome it by filling the empty space of the gigs learning music production. I just moved to my new home, where a space is dedicated to my music studio. This new production step terrifies me, you are in front of yourself, finding inspiration deeply in your soul.

-What inspired you to start making music in your beginnings as a music producer or dj

I love the way people from different backgrounds, countries and cultures can connect through electronic music.  Also, I love new technologies so the first time I heard electronic sounds it make feel in the future.  As a producer I was inspired by the challenge to be able to put together sounds that would help me tell a story and touch others.

-Can you describe your first ever gig, what did you felt?

My first gig was back in 1999 while I was in college and it felt exciting!  It was a party for international students.


- What advice can you give to newcomers that want to be like you or any other influential dj?

My advice is to listen to all kinds of music to explore which sounds and styles move you best.  Then identify those elements to come up with your own style.  But always be open minded and flexible to explore and learn.


-What has been the most difficult experience as a producer or dj, how did you overcome it?

The most difficult was learning the technical part of production software.  Still learning but initially was frustrating. The solution was  being patient and spending a lot of time studying.  Because music is my passion, this always overcomes any frustrations if I focus on the musical aspect.
