Our latest podcast is a great example of how diverse our favorite genre is.

It was mixed by our friends from @latenightjockelsession and is peppered with fine edits, slow house bangers and full of unexpected twists. 

The two boys race towards the festival summer at a snail's pace, just in time for the ordinary sunday champagne shower. Have lots of fun with it  <3

As the darkness moved towards the day and the stars and moon crossed the sky we ended the peak night of Relish; a festival like no other. Inside an enormous castle shaped tent known as the Boogie Down. With terraced cuddle puddles over looking the dance floor heating vents poking through the walls to ease the cold of the crisp southern night and a light show that set the mood on fire. This was a special one for me for many reasons, amongst them the week spent on the lushest of land surrounded by uplifting community immersed in an event that prioritised every need and comfort you could have or want at every turn.
Truly a wondrous collaboration. Im still blinking to check it was all real. Great news, it was. Fantastic!

The original recording didn't end up recording, classic. So this is re recorded for all those who asked me for it.

Thank you to each and every one of the 500 collaborators who contributed to this experience.

Relish 2023

Mia Kober | Saturday Closing Set @ Relish Festival 2023

I Grew up between classic music, rock and roll, and jazz.
We were not necessarily a musial family but definitely a lot of music influence around. Lots of friends of the family that will often be around where musicians so lots of poetry, guitars and artists coming and going around the house, this has let my attention run that way since early times. 
My sister was a contemporary dancer. And I was a ballerina myself from my 10’s to 18 years old.I was really committed to it on a full-time basis. But I hurt my leg and eventually had to stop. 
The frustration and free time led me to start playing instruments, did a bit of run around with piano, drums and at the end stuck to the bass guitar. Silver linings....
I Started putting on jazz and rock and roll gigs very young (teens) , but I was way too shy to perform so I would only organise. This is all part of the path that led me to this..

I started playing (djing) because I was curious about it. And as I started doing it felt natural. It’s been a fun road. And I love everything about it. Probably ready for a bit of a challenge up…
I'm on the wonder road.

Big electronic influences have been…Mira Kater, Christopher Schwarzwalder,  Arutani,
Be Svendsen, Ninze, Lee Jones, Just Emma, HVOB Holen Coin, Andre Polar Karela Dust David Rausch, Sanoi,Out of Sorts
Mellowtac, among a few others. 
The friends that I made along the journey and memories shared have been everything really. And being able to support others as I can along the way.

A friend described my sound once as “Sexual friction underline” haha, I will add something like… soft and deep sounds. Sexy and playful.
Slow tech more than downtempo I will say.

Someone else also said..."She comes in slow like a sultry steam train, building it up to the kinds of rhythms that hit you deep and hard"

I will mix them up to get Me.

For our second guest mix, we chose someone who defies the boundaries of music, Acid Pauli.

When we spoke to Acid Pauli, he let us use an older mix that meant a lot to him, Peace. With our collective growing up by the sea in Brighton the mix speaks to the atmosphere around the town, and the ability to take people on a journey through varying emotions with similar but diverse tracks is exactly what we aspire to create with After Hours.

As soon as the first sounds echoed through the forest, the sun started shining through the leaves of the trees and before we knew it the dance floor was filled with dancing creatures. 
What a vibe we created together so early in the morning - we are still overwhelmed - thank you all who got out of their tent to dance with us :)!
