We are thrilled to present "Interwoven," a 5-track collaborative EP from Iyakuh & Lo.renzo that delves into and celebrates diverse and cherished lineages of sound, woven into a cohesive musical journey.

This EP guides listeners through a dynamic spectrum, drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of India, Africa, the Hawaiian Islands, the Andean Mountains, and the Amazon Rainforest of South America.

"Interwoven" immerses you in realms of deep bass, textured beats, downtempo grooves, and tribal dance rhythms, paying homage to the incredible cultures that have deeply inspired us.

The EP features live vocals from Luana Schwengber on track 3, "Aiana," and includes nature recordings from around the world, captured by the two producers.

Lo.renzo's live instrumentation adds a unique and authentic touch, featuring fretless guitar, sarangi, ngoni, quena, cumbus saz, kalimba, and various percussions. Each track seamlessly blends these elements, creating a vibrant tapestry of sounds that honor and unify these diverse musical traditions.

CROATIA IN DUB is a multidisciplinary project that blends traditional Croatian vocal music with contemporary electronic music reinterpretations.

The reinterpretation of the folk songs helps to share them in a new context and bridge the gap between folk traditions and modern electronic music.

Developed by italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Lo.Renzo the project features the Zagreb-based vocal ensemble Čipkice.

CROATIA IN DUB [remixes]

10 years on from the conception of Outtallectuals in the form of a Facebook community, we're delighted to still be here, finetuning the label's signature sound in a never-ending global creative soup.

Accordingly, 'Liminal Lore' celebrates OUTTA's first decade through a predictably collaborative roster, featuring the label regulars, as well as new contributors such as Bulgarian legends, Ivan Shopov and Theodossii Spassov, cinematic bass producer, Boketto, the deep ambient psychedelic dub techno duo of Arkaean and Unsung I, and POAN, Lo.Renzo's ambient side project with Giacomo Barbari.

The concept of 'Lore' is sonified through the 'old world' influences of the album; through the sounds of nature, bulbul tarang, banjo, g clarinet, darbuka, hang drum, sarangi, slide guitars, violins, flutes & tribal percussions. 'Liminality' is, of course, through the celebration of a shifting decade, an in-between milestone for the label.

Today marks the release of 'Decoding Dreams,' the second single from the collaborative EP featuring Iyakuh and Lo.Renzo. This track draws inspiration from the enigmatic symbolism and messages entwined within our dreamscapes, seamlessly weaving together the deep jungle soundscapes with the melodious essence of desert landscapes and eastern temples. A deep bassline & textured percussion intertwines with live recordings from the studio, including the Baglama saz, Quena Flute, and tablas, resulting in a captivating fusion of sounds.

The song embodies the voices of Malawian culture in Africa, inspired by the powerful rituals, dances, and stories of these traditions. It features vibrant melodies woven with live ngoni and Tank drum, seamlessly blending textured downtempo sections with full-on tribal dance rhythms.

We express deep gratitude for the songs and presence of these lineages that provide us with immense inspiration. It is an honor to work with these sounds.

Excited to share an improvised set recorded at Gaia Movement Arts Residency on January 7th.

This set was created to support contact dance practice, guiding participants on a journey through diverse cultures and rhythms. 
It's designed to inspire the exploration of new forms of expression and connection, encouraging everyone to break away from rooted patterns and embrace free, authentic movement.

This song was born from an encounter that only Lake Atitlán could host. Between volcano fire and deep waters, indigenous wisdom and local myth, the land itself shaped the dialogue of two artists: Lo.Renzo, Italian multi-instrumentalist and producer, and Laura Catharïna, Brazilian singer and producer, whose voice carries both fragility and strength, shadow and light.

Together they created music as a reflection of the lake — a place where inequality and beauty coexist, where ceremonies open portals to mystery, and where silence invites expression.

The result is an offering of sound that captures not only the essence of the land, but also the transformative power of meeting at the right time, in the right place.

About Koshi:

Koshi Chimes have four melodic tunings inspired by the elements: Terra, Aqua, Aria, and Ignis. When sounding together the chimes roll in rich harmonious overtones.

Koshi Chimes are designed with eight notes. The notes are metal pieces welded into a plate at the base of the resonating tube. The tube itself is made of thin layers of bamboo veneer treated with natural oils.

CROATIA IN DUB is a multidisciplinary project that blends traditional Croatian vocal music with contemporary electronic music reinterpretations.

The reinterpretation of the folk songs helps to share them in a new context and bridge the gap between folk traditions and modern electronic music.

Developed by italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Lo.Renzo the project features the Zagreb-based vocal ensemble Čipkice.

The documentary, filmed by Camera Obscura (Zagreb) tells the story of the project and how is possible to move from cultural appropriation to cultural appreciation, watch the teaser: youtu.be/xnT40H7nu1k

2nd track from ‘Rajasthan In Dub’ EP released via Outtallectuals Collective in collaboration with Nicolò Melocchi, an Italian student of Hindustani music, & Asha Sapera, a dancer & singer from the Kalbeliya tribe of Rajasthan.

Primarily, this EP is the culmination of Nicolò’s time spent living with the musical tribes of Jodhpur in the past few years, training in local music & instruments. During this time, Nico has built a solid relationship with various members of the Kalbeliya tribe, a community whose dance & folks songs are included in UNESCO’s “List of Intangible Cultures”, & this relationship has included documenting videos & songs with Asha Sapera, one of the key internationally-renowned faces of tribe.

Combining with the ethnofusion musical capabilities of Lo.Renzo as an electronic producer & player of the Sarangi, Cumbus & Percussions, the recordings of Nico & Asha have developed into this novel collection of songs. Traditional sounds of Rajasthan merge with world dub aesthetics & subtle overtones of psychedelic music to create ‘Lhwar Jewra’ & ‘Beraghi’, two songs with the main lyrical theme of love & separation as expressed from the perspective of such nomadic people who must often leave their loved ones behind, departing without the knowledge of their next exact destination.
