Naitwa is a Leipzig based DJ who is part of the collective “nice 4 what” (@nice4whatcrew) representing house music and organizing like minded events. She is also a member of “Petrola” (@petr.ola) crew from Leipzig and is involved in the regular event series DRIVE at Institut fuer Zukunft. Her heart truly belongs to house music in its various forms – tech, prog, 90s to early 2000s or nu skool breaky stuff to dub and Detroit techno– Naitwa loves to spin them all. As you might notice, old school vocals make her weak – at alltimes.

PJ takes you on a sonic trip through rainy soundscapes with a steadily driving submission for this month's Empty Container. The Leipzig based DJ has his fingers in every pie over town and explores his own raw style in his conceptual mixes and his original productions. Watch out for some fresh unreleased stuff.

Yuzo Iwata comes to the plate for another episode of ‘Mixed By’. Building from Ambient beginnings, Yuzo shows patience and skill in building his sound over the hour; swimming through his pool of genres past Dancehall, Acid and Trance along the way.

This same skillset is on play across his debut album, Kaizu, which recently dropped on Melbourne's Butter Sessions. Yuzo flexes his sound design muscles across the LP; Balearic textures, broken rhythms and a nod to Japanese video games and eighties fusion, his many influences are expressed with finesse across the full works. For me, Kaizu represents what it really must be like to live inside Yuzo’s head, and what a place it must be!

Steffi X Virginia for Blitz Radio 80000 take over

Inveterate digger Erik Sebastiaan comes correct with an hour or so of the fast and furious, each tune emerging from the cracks between various 90s rave archetypes. Detroit electro-funk gets freaky with ghetto house, jungle rubs shoulders with rolling techno, and at every turn Erik's smooth and steady hand keeps things on an even keel. There's also the odd moment of drama – look out for the mid-set reset – while subtle tempo changes keep the mood flexible and energised. In short: it's everything we look for in a mix!
