Lobster Theremin's sublabel Distant Hawaii, which so far seems more house and balearic orientated than its cousin, was featured in our Top 100 2015 with the summery track "Bill Loves You" by Hidden Spheres. The label's second release is the "Secret Island" EP by newcomer and London-based producer Tony Donson aka DJ Sonikku, and it doesn't disappoint! The EP's opener"Land Of Sky" premiered here sets the tone with a tough beat backed by a hopping FM bass, house chords and an overall early 90s feel. This is sure to send you straight to that secret island of yours!

The sky was a royal blue and the air was thick under the heat of the sun. As the birds flew high between the trees she pondered what it might be like to soar with them, to wind herself up and throw herself into the sky out there. She dreamed of flying wildly between the branches, careering above great cities and looking down on the insignificance of life below. She wanted out, that was for sure but she could see little way. Maybe one day she would fly with them, just not for now. She extinguished her cigarette and walked back inside. 

S&W are the next to release on Dub Disco. The pair offer up the newly founded label's second release which sees them contribute three dance floor cuts.

@FunkenWavetropi busted onto the scene last year with his debut release on his then brand new imprint, @PerfectStraight. The first record was a cute little 7" entitled Pizza Dealer which ended up garnering quite a bit of success with plays from tastemakers across the globe. Since then, the Aguascalientes, México-based producer has put out a single on a VA for Whyte Numbers (recently played by Move D in his Boiler Room Berlin 6th anniversary session) and a digital download as well via his own label. Now, he's prepped his first 12" for release with the title track and our premiere today, Feel Me, being the main reason as to why the label is more than just a concept, 2 years after the initial idea was born.

What's immediately noticeable about Funken Wavetropi's productions is the funky and bouncy bassline in each tune and it is once again front and centre on Feel Me. This one's got a classic deep house vibe about it with a more modern twist. The swelling chords, sampled diva-esque vocal shout and vintage horns are all reminiscent of the 90's, but the accompanying synth work and bubbly bass are what give it its contemporary flare. The track is also a bit of a burner, gradually evolving as it progresses on its 7 minute journey and we're sure it's going to get some serious emotions flowing on the dance floor.

Vinyl heads beware, the record which is pressed on transparent vinyl will only have 150 copies available, so be sure to get your pre-orders in.

Heart to Hearts 12th record comes to us by way of Berlin with https://soundcloud.com/westcoast-goddess. Following up his heavily favorited "Springtime Forever' released earlier this year on Sweden's tasteful house imprint Omena Records.  The Goddess will resonate well with house heads with love for the East coast house sound. Packed with punchy drum beats and full spectrum instrumentation, these tunes are designed to lift ones soul and turn any frown upside down. The title track "Life Review" literally brings out the sun with string sections that relax even the hardest of humans, spreading love without even saying a word. "Strung out Ditty" hits us deep with its tracky vibe and unforgettable bassline, wrapped in progressive string sections. It builds you up from the inside out, taking your mind and feet to new levels.  Capping off the record, "Death is A Door' and "I Guess I want a Family" will bring you right back to the streets of New Jersey with that classic deep house feel reminiscent of early Bottom Line releases and Tony Humphries productions.

Dj Kush Boogie; an enigmatic and mysterious entity in which all we know of their existence is the alias comprises of two talented producers, supposedly from the southern hemisphere. The mystery surrounding the release bears no real surprise - this being their third in the series of supposedly unmarked offerings seemingly via London stalwart, Lobster.

Regarding the important thing here; the music, the series and this release alone is truly outstanding and standalone in it's approach. Those quick to judge may be inclined to pop the NZ duo in the 'lofi' box - however, it's so much more than that. Gristly saturation and glitched percussion shrouds the release as a whole, yet the club and floor remain at the core of each tracks aura. 'Dancers Cut' is no exception, anchored by sanguine keys, a bullish bass line and swathing vocal sweeps - all shelled by hallmark Kush twitched percussion and topped with a flute motif, catchier than the plague.
