This month’s Organic analogue Records show comes to us from 38 years in the past, presented to you by a mysterious collective known as the Land Speed Record Department.
Little is known about the individuals behind this project, but their area of interest is the year 1983 - a period when technology and culture were colliding at ever-increasing speed to give rise to some of the finest, most pioneering music to be wrestled out of human minds and studio circuitry. Land Speed Record Department have dedicated themselves to unearthing these sounds and arranging them in club-ready forms, presented here for you via two hour-long mixes.
Transmitting in 2021 from a year when the sound barrier was broken, hear the sound of creative barriers being broken in the finest fusion of experimentation and danceable invocations in electronic music history.
