Staar Traxx return this summer with a big statement of intent provided by label debutants Promise Land and Matt Nash collaborating on  ‘Pressure’. 
Heavy and metallic, Pressure begins with a strong percussion lead intro which evolves into a melodic and euphoric break with timeless electronic stab leads, before exploding into an explosive drop. The final breakdown follows, which perfectly winds the track to a crescendo indicative of the relentless energy that Staar Traxx has become renowned for. Festival season has an anthem!

With the release of Rebekah’s debut album ‘Fear Paralysis’ imminent,‘1997 Reprise EP’ is the final single to be taken from this lethal LP. Rebekah goes back to her roots with the title track and follows this up with some typical stormers, exclusive to this release. 

Title track 1997 Reprise, taken from Fear Paralysis, sees Rebekah taking on a more deep, broken beat piece. Built upon a quirky, flexing groove, dystopic synth work keeps the darker edge of this track intact. From here on, Rebekah unleashes her more virulent strain of Techno for which she is widely known. Spellbound kicks off with standard issue thumping rhythms but is cleverly spliced with subtle synth sequences. Unfound Truths brings a more haunting vibe with eerie strings used to great effect, engaging a more emotive feel. Rounding off is the frantic For The Last Time. However, no time is wasted getting things moving at frenzied pace as furious percussion is bolstered by incessantly hyper sequences. 

With such high anticipation for Rebekah’s debut album, this EP further impresses the fact that Rebekah truly is one of Techno’s top artists.

Goran 01 is the work of Slobban, a late 90’s trio of Jens Johansson, Peter Gustafsson and Carl Magnus Ernström from Falun, two hours north of Stockholm. Surrounded by snow and inspired by the sounds of US House music aswell as the contemporary european house sound, they created music that is just as jazzy and soulful as it is functional dance tracks. Slobban EP was originally released in a 100 copies in -99. Two solid uptempo house tracks, ’Funkig Gura Med Hus’ and ’About Your Woman’ and on the flip side a jackin’ techno workout named ’Amour!
