Dropping their second Corpus compilation, Ransom Note Records offshoot Insult To Injury showcases gems from the label, past and present. Focusing on remixes from early digital releases, augmented with a brand new mix of Timothy Clerkin, these four dance floor weapons see a release on their rightful format, 12” wax.

Opening proceedings with a meditative, shadowy remix of Timothy Clerkin’s Primary Function, Berlin’s Shokh takes us down into the depths, showcasing his masterful production skills with a lofi trip into the darkness.

Naïve records boss Violet immediately ups the tempo with her skippy, bass-laden take on Apollo View’s II, ratcheting up the original for maximum pumpiness!

Label friend Bawrut chimes in next with his dance floor destroying mix of False Flag from Dark Circles – phasers set firmly to Raze Everything To The Ground And Leave Nothing Standing, Bozza’s inimitable, weaponised Acid will stop the most ecstatic of clubbers in their tracks.

Rounding off, Italian Stallion Younger Than Me takes Shun’s I’ll Never Reach Your Level and turns up the Rave- O-meter to eleven, introducing some vigorous 303 and breakbeat action, pushing it to maximum gurn!

n this bio about the new Dim Garden - A Dauntless Sprite Descends (Album) we are not going to define the concept of this musical jewel, since each of the selected tracks is a part of the astral journey in the enchanted forest of Dim Garden in The Hague. Choose the door from which you want to start the Album and you will have a different and mystical experience.

Close your eyes...can you feel it? giant mushrooms and animals running alongside us while they wink at us, so that we can continue to enter the forest while some magicians with giant long beards are playing synthesizers in the treetops in the light of the Moon.

When we believe that we have completed the entire forest, a giant light appears from the bottom of the forest and all the animals go towards it, to pay their respect. One of the Forest Gods of Dim Garden appeared... the white wizzard named ''Legowelt'' with a super magic remix and his fast paced take on the track ''Visions of Love'' and all his synths around him.
The housekeeper of the Forest is Jentlemen with her Remix of ''Na Mata''. Without realizing it, you have already been absorbed by the essence and atmosphere of Dim Garden... Open your eyes... or was it just a dream?

This release is an international compilation of 10 tracks produced exclusively by women from various horizons. This compilation was curated in support of women and the Iranian people in general. Proceeds will be redistributed to the "Collectif Femme Azadi" association, which provides material and media support for their struggle.

The journey begins with The Year of Blood by Gülce Özen Gürkan, a multi-layered dark and industrial soundscape, incorporating samples of the voice of Masih Alinejad that introduces the political nature of this release. Next, I Am an Iranian Woman by Nour Kara & Juliette Capel is a mixture between industrial, organic sounds, cello and voice, with a powerful atmosphere. The track Infinite Expansion by the duo Catenation is a dark ambient interlude before the banger Corpo in which Sara Brown lays her words on the edge-cutting production of Mad Monkey. Another duo, Flugen feat. Hura Mirshekari, proposes Mashaal, an introspection tack with deep vocals and rhythmics : The message of Mashaal is that the torch can never be turned off; wherever we are, we hold the roots of our lands and it is our duty to keep the fire burning. To wake you up from this dream comes Constructor, a breakbeat roller by Lyschen Finkorum, developing a great work on evolving patterns. Afterward, F9THF brings us Mina, on which she used her voice and complex polyrhythms in a delightful and glitchy combination. The next track, suyumuz özelleştiriliyor by pyruvicac.id, sounds like a long and gloomy ritual, with mutating vocal pads, tabla drums and acid synths. The penultimate track, Hundestern Klein produced by Marka Tamea, is a downtempo acid banger, containing crazy-sounding vocals by Rasputoin. Finally, The Chase, a mental techno roller by SDYK, closes this compilation.

PREMIERE: Sara Brown - Corpo [909 Connection]

‘Out of Sync’ was the pair's fifth and yet again found them cooking up an irresistible funk and hypnotic mix of house and techno on their array of analogue gear. It included top guests Robert Owens, Kate Pendry and longtime collaborator Baseman, and now comes alive in different ways thanks to these fine new remixes.

André Bratten tackles 'Divine Electricity' and has been part of the comic disco scene in Norway for a decade. He brings real emotion to his work and is a sonic alchemist who takes things into all new dimensions. His take on the original is a chaotic mix of bleeps and busted basslines, broken rhythms and detuned pulses that sound like nothing else. VLR is one of many aliases for Norway's Livar Særheim, who does everything from acid to techno to electro to ambient to hardcore. His stylish remix of 'Divine Electricity' takes the original for a night drive through Babylon using a newly built 808 drum machine that will get the floor pumping. Last of all is KSMISK, aka another alias of Trulz & Robin, reserved for more otherworld sounds. They flip 'This is Love' into a deep, dark, late-night techno roller for heady backrooms.

This is an essential collection of remixes that offers something for everyone.

Like many Canadians, Joseph Shabason and Ben Gunning like to untangle themselves from urbanity and disappear up north a few times a year. Unlike other cottage-goers, Ben and Joseph don’t while away the ur-time on jet-skis and lounge on docks reading pulpy mysteries. Instead, they bring a car full of synths, drum machines, saxophones, guitars, samplers, effects, and recording equipment to jam the days away in a cabin-fever inducing haze of wood smoke, cedar musk, hot wires and jazz sweat. 

Muldrew, recorded on the northern Ontario lake by that name, is the culmination of several years of this collaborative tradition. Resisting their penchant for composition and arrangement, the duo embarked on this project with only an open framework that encouraged restraint. The result is a sparse and improvisational album, hung on enough structure for each song to evoke a distinct, albeit ambiguous mood. Space is paramount and even the most digital elements breathe with the resonance of the room and mingle with creaking floors. The resulting album is steeped in the placid stillness and northern ambience of a lake at dawn, and the emotive expanse of a forest at dusk. Imagine an ECM cottage-series, or Jon Hassell, Hiroshi Yoshimura, and John Martyn scoring a Bela Tarr film set in rural Canada. This is the future-proof music of metropolitan polyglot minds invigorated by nature’s mute refusal to follow a click-track.

The South is more than just a landscape. It is a corporal mark permeating the sensible experience; a form of imagination staggering on the edge of forgetfulness; an ambivalent minoritarian-becoming coexisting between the uncontrolled immensity of profusion and the violence of systematic plundering. 

From the record label Hiedrah Club de Baile, AGGROMANCE’s first full-length album, Turbera, is a digital handicraft piece that displays the contradictory speeds of a brown life born under the sign of the Uncomfortable, that worn coat embracing the very end of the world; a singular sound reluctant to the idea of a reconciliation between origin and destiny; a cartography from a stained body aimed to disorient the moral expectations about that sunken cry articulating its own desire to survive. 

Between the continuum of a hardcore sound lubricated by the cosmopolitan rawness and the tremor of a language desperate to the “authoctonous legitimacy”, right at the middle of the acid dampness of a nameless garden, Turbera unleashes the promise for a party gloomed by resentment as a twisted form of hope. A low-tech danceable impulse stagging that distopian futurity which we still live in, allowing us to recognize our faces against the dirty mirrors of this swamp-world, where, despise all our fatigues, there is some music worthlessly running on the melting of the global order and it harbors the password of the living.
