Local Knowledge is a collaboration of Phillip and his new or old friends intending to share the medicine of music. Phillip draws on his experiences and curiosity with the world’s cultures and hopes to share a little he has learned from the folk music styles he’s experienced.  Some of his favorite musical experiences include playing in a Mento (Jamaican folk) band in Northwest Jamaica, recording with a friend who he didn’t know was a musical celebrity in Laos, and performing at a restaurant that had audience members from 15 different counties.
