This one has been an extremely long time coming - I finished Flurry in 2019 🤯! I'm glad it's finally here. It’s had early support from Ben UFO, Or:la and Bradley Zero. You can grab it on 12" vinyl and digital formats now.

Big shout to Yumé Records for all their hard work getting this one out there.

Noah Campeau did a fantastic job on the artwork, as did Radioactive Man on the mastering!

Londoner Jeigo has always had a knack for intricate and melancholic production. His emotive sounds span breaks, garage and dub and gave rise to a superb album Cerulean back in 2022. This new outing on @airmilesrecordings is another sophisticated one that shows some different sides. 

There is a blissed-out feel to the optimistic melodic bubbles and angelic vocals of 'Found Me' that means the EP closes in lush fashion.

Guava returns to Faux Poly as the first artist to release a second EP on the label. Shifting gears into a faster, Techno-focused territory all whilst breaking up the EP with his immersive signature oscillating Dub-Techno-esque atmospherics. This new record is a departure from Afterglow, further embracing light and dark moods with a hypnotic intensity throughout that feels both urgent yet deeply considered.

This release opens a new chapter for Guava, as he embraces the weight and velocity of the dancefloor without sacrificing his signature playfulness. The result is a dynamic, high-energy follow-up that solidifies his evolving sound making ’All Out’ the perfect next step for both the artist and the label.

Words from Guava:

"This record was written in a flow state. For me, it was the most enjoyable EP I’ve made, and I think you can hear that in the music. It came about due to a slight shift in mindset regarding the creative process. I started by making an Ableton template as a way to limit my options. I spent a couple of days trying to nail a sound - referencing and experimenting with different instruments. I would then set a timer and “mess up” what I had created. The deal was that I could do anything I wanted.

This approach was a game-changer for me because it created a cohesive sound across all the tracks. A lot of my process was inspired by one of my heroes, Alexander Rodchenko, a photographer and graphic artist from the Soviet Union. What fascinated me most was the limitations he worked with - he didn’t have access to the fancy digital tools we use today. There was something about that constraint that I envied, and I wanted to bring a similar sense of restriction into my own creative process."

Since bursting onto the scene in 2010 with huge support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, John Digweed and Dave Clarke, Ireland’s Ian O'Donovan has gone on to achieve great feats as an artist. Ian has forged a unique style within the techno scene, blending a touch of the past with his melodic sound and moulding it into place with top level production. His tracks have found homes on iconic imprints such as Kevin Saunderson's KMS in Detroit, John Digweed's burgeoning Bedrock Records, Christian Smith's Tronic and Sasha's Last Night on Earth label.
Ian has reworked classics like Inner City's 'Good Life' and collaborated with legends like John Digweed along with a string of top solo releases, which have won favour with industry titans like Richie Hawtin and Carl Cox. After standout early releases on Detone and KMS, 2015 sees Ian O'Donovan's stock once more on the rise, fuelled further by the signing of inimitable techno cut 'Vortex' to Adam Beyer's global phenomenon Drumcode Records; an indication that this timeless producer is only now entering his stride. With an arsenal of dance-floor weapons developed over a decade by his side, Ian is committed to bringing his dj sets to the world, taking music lovers on an intricate journey both into the artist’s mind and to a place of musical inspiration. With ’Skyn’ Ian debuts on Exploited Ghetto - a melodic tropical house affair. ’The Step’ on the flip is straight 4 to the floor techno business.

Silk/Sweat is a set of house slam dunks by T_A_M, one of our very favourite producers.

Based in Aberdeen, T_A_M has previously released club heat on labels like Tuff Wax and Coyote, as well as the Tail Snap cassette on Apothecary Compositions. His tracks have been a key part of Local Action’s radio shows for over a year (he’s also a regular fixture in sets by Yamaneko, Eclair Fifi, Finn, Slackk and Mr. Mitch), and after stealing the show on December’s Radar Radio takeover, we’re psyched to welcome him to the team.

Silk/Sweat draws from T_A_M’s love of the no frills house perfected by labels like Roule, driven by hand-claps, chopped samples and the most unsubtle filtering around, which is just how we like it. He’ll be celebrating the release with a two-hour takeover of our Radar Radio show on April 7 – Silk/Sweat FM in the house.

The inaugural release of air miles is introduced by @jeigomusic with his “An Ode To Midnight EP’ which was written and produced in the Spring of 2018, between the cities of London and Paris.

Rounding off the EP is ‘By My Side’, meandering the record into slightly darker territories. The shifting keys wash over, the siren call vocals penetrate and the thudding kick punches through, anchoring the track as an emotionally driven, cerebral affair.
