Growing up in the deep south of Germany with multi ethnic friends and big interest in many different music genres of the world, Borrowed Identity built his wide knowledge in music. This variety in his musical taste is also the reason why he is working under different aliases producing a big variety of sound from ambient to house to experimental music and everything inbetween. Borrowed Identity debut EP on Quintessentials is another great example for his multistyle approach to music. You’ll find elements of house, disco, techno, ambient and more – always with an imminent love for music. Borrowed Identity released his first 12” inc. a Mark E remix on Foul&Sunk last year. That was just the start of an impressive career we dare to say. Borrowed Identity is a music freak and works very fast on tracks. Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts, Traveller Records (Finland), the Legendary Sound Research, Stripped & Chewed (Chicago), Catz N Dogz Pets Recordings and soon Mistress all released some splendid Borrowed Identity tunes. Hitting the music press headlines recently was news of a second Floorplan album.  Now M-Plant delivers a first taste of this highly anticipated release with two tracks from the album, ‘Music’ and ‘Tell You No Lie’.

Floorplan is already well known as Robert Hood’s house, disco, funk and gospel outlet, which this year evolves into a family affair with co-production alongside his daughter, Lyric.  ‘Victorious’ will be the second Floorplan album and follow-up to 2013’s ‘Paradise’ which spawned ‘Let’s Ride, ‘Baby Baby’ and the massive ‘Never Grow Old’.

Set to replicate the success of ‘Paradise’, ‘Victorious’ will be released in June.  To precede it, the single released at the end of April is comprised of the bumping house groove of ‘Music’ (which received it’s first global airing on B.Traits’ BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra show in February) and the disco rotations of ‘Tell You No Lie’. 

Both tracks are exceptionally infectious, with tough beats, glorious vocal reprises and sure not to disappoint.

Jackmaster's DJ-Kicks solidifies the reputation of one of the most in-demand DJs working today. In his work words, “the mix is influenced heavily by how I used to DJ at the first party I ever promoted, named Seismic, and another named Monox which was a straight up techno night where I was a resident from the age of 17. And although it wasn’t my plan, it turned into a kind of tribute to the cities that really formulated me as a DJ: Detroit, Chicago and Glasgow. There are a couple of wee secret weapons on there that are stolen from the guys at Rubadub, and obviously tracks Q1.1 by Basic Channel and the M-Plant bits I picked up from them too. The rest is stuff I found myself or on mates labels or produced by friends.” Denis Sulta's "MSNJ" belongs to the latter category, and is one of three exclusive tracks from the mix.
